If he's reformed, I'll consider it. Frankly, given the umpteen million times I've warned him over the years, I doubt that will happen.

Is there a virus on davidweber.net servers? It would appear that there is. Keep getting hit with trojans against my security software everytime I post. Happened 3 times in a row. Was wondering if anyone else were receiving hits? Hopefully no one else is and it really is on my end.

Neither. my virus scans and double checks all show my comp and this website are fully clean.

We've had our host blacklist this site before, due to spam email. I'm not sure how though, since the fourms themselves don't generate emails except for notifications and signups. I tried suggesting that it was on the host's end, but I'm not sure what ever became of that. I've never had any problems just visiting here.

Got me why I was hit with those 3 trojans. Haven't been hit since and I haven't changed a thing on my end.

Typically you either share an IP with a compromised host or the VM that the the site runs on gets hacked and it sends spam. Or if something sufficiently bad happens it might ban every host on the subnet or provider.

For example, if you look up 70.39.233.12 (vps4000.inmotionhosting.com aka forums.davidweber.net) via Ironports senderbase you'll see all the hosts on that inmotionhosting has that send email.

In addition, the forums.davidweber.net site shares an IP with:

infotechaccountants.com

mohasaba.net

www.davidweber.net

www.infotechaccountants.com

Any idea why the search engine thinks that the word Beowulf is too common to be searched for?
