And that still leaves me at under half the average age of the forumers here.....

I hate statistics!!!!! it is not real math. it has more in common with lawyers than it does with math. you can make them say almost anything you want. personally I would rather just look at the raw data. thus you are able to see that we have a reader on here that is 12 and under. I find that to be more interesting than the median or mode will ever be.

I think that as the only teen who has posted a reply that we need to do something to get noticed by more people, but that may just be a artifact of the retirement (retirement age but possibly still working) community that seems to have sprung up on this forum.

Well there's two teens now and one twelve and under. I would imagine Hector being close to your ages might make him your favorite character as he's closer to your age and experience. He appears doomed from the snippets as a young person how will this effect your love of the series?

Been grey haired since my early 20's but officially I'm 41. I'm a big fan of both Safehold and the Honorverse.

At 40 I have a good chance at being around to finish all of David’s series. Hopefully, knock on wood (or any other luck promoting surface).

As far as the readers to posters ratio, I think it is skewed to the retirement crowd due to the larger amount of time said group has to ponder (when awake) and write (between naps).

Now after having poked all of the ‘Admirals’ in the group, I really do like your posts. Keep up the good writing and thanks for this survey, it is really informative.

I often thought it would be good if we could decide to go enlisted or commissioned when joining it would be good having chief in the goat locker keeping the officers honest ;)

To me the best thing about the survey is the number of young people that it shows. The under thirty crowd are the ones who will keep writers writing. It also shows that our educational system isn't totally dead. for a while there I was beginning to wonder. I've met to many functionally illiterate high school graduates in my time. Having a 17 year old ask for help to fill out a job application because he could not read it nor write his response was appalling.

I wonder if this survey has caused any of the younger posters to check out David's other works?
