True but the proportions need to look right. Her face is very good for the role. It's her height etc that don't work for me. and, as I said, I know trying to come within shouting distance of Honor's description in a fine actress... well, good luck with that.

Any chance Jackie Chan and Bruce Lee have had kids who married and produced a girl that looks like Honor :-) :-) :-)... making this up... don't know if any such a person exists.... Marjorie Chan Lee, grand-daughter of the legendary martial arts masters Bruce Lee and Jackie Chan, will play Honor Harrington in the upcoming movie, On Basilisk Station. :-) dreaming on...

Uhm, Jackie Chan and Jet Li are tiny. Literally. Now, Jackie Chan as Uncle Jacques would be spot on IMHO.

Not meaning to be picky, but where did he ever say Jet Li? He said Bruce Lee, who, IMO, could kick the rear-ends of both Jackie Chan *and* Jet Li - at the same time.

He *had* to've been good. He beat Chuck Norris.

I also said I was making it up :-) Ain't no such person. But would be so fun. My point is try looking in the Martial arts for a gal who is expert and also happens to be tall, half Asian and can act real well. I don't want much :-)

Tricia Helfer is definitely beautiful, but I always had the impression that Alice Truman was shorter, stockier, and not the babe that Tricia is.

At this point, I'd settle for the following in this order.

Can act

tall

thin

beautiful

I love the notion of Jackie Chan as Uncle Jacques :-)

Needing Uncle Jacques cast would also mean we've got a bunch of Honorverse movies, which, if they are good, would be delightful.

I'd replace "thin" with "athletic."

Some 6'+ 20-something woman with a college-volleyball-player build is who I see as the right age and body type for an "On Basilisk Station"-era Honor.

And I'd replace "beautiful" with "striking." No volleyball pun intended.

I'll stick to my order.

It's selfish, but the movie will be more fun to watch if she's beautiful.
