It's been mentioned once before but this is the right actress for Honor. I know, I know, length will have to be considered bust admit the rest is perfect. And just look at the inner core of strength and integrity in this clip. It just screams "I know I did mistakes and I will always show respect to my superiors but I was right and my integrity won't let me surrender".

If Honor would have been in that situation, at least a bit later in her career, she would also have said: "Don't call me girl, SIR".

If young is the only criteria then I guess my choice of Moon Bloodgood
( http://www.imdb.com/name/nm1291227/ ) is no good either.

She has the slightly Asian features, the height (5'-10") and she is a pretty good actor. Just saw her in "Sessions."

Somehow I do not think that a second film will be made, much less a first. We can't even get any info on the proposed film and the whole female hero thing will die off by then, with all the little girls who might go see it becoming too busy and too grown up. Its audience is whittling away. If only Weber fans go see it, it will be a huge flop.

Ms Hathaway would make a great Honor in live action, for the next decade or so.

BUT. IMHO, this series just HAS to done with Sigourney Weaver as Honor...because of her current age and even those of all the great character actors who should portray Hamish and Michelle and Elizabeth and Scotty and.....this whole series cries out for voice acting with animation or seriously CGI'd effects - think hobbits in LotR mixed with Pitt in Curious Case of Benjamin Button. Besides, when was the last time you saw a six legged cat who can act?

I hope to see these movies soon and for decades to come. Aging is a process we have yet to overcome and Honorverse characters need child/teen/young adult looking people; and the number of actors that young who have the range of skills necessary to portray our aged, but ageless looking prolong characters just aren't out there.

Thanks for the great clip. i remember people saying that Olivia Munn was a terrible actress. Either they were wrong or she has grown professionally.

And each book would be stretched out into three films. Jackson makes bloat.

So?
It would mean more Honorverse movies, and it would mean that lots of stuff wouldn't be cut out. A movie script is apparently about 120 pages, so how much more could he do with 240 or 360 pages to work with, instead of 120. it gives him more room and scope. And It would probably gain an oscar or too as well.......
