Of course she has Asian blood--South Asian, but Asian none the less. I must say that she is a good choice in some ways. I enjoyed her playful acting in Boston Legal. She is British but accents are a tool of the trade in the acting game. Can I say "Homeland?" "House?"

These two solutions are not mutually exclusive.

... and she is 40 years old. No one who's over 30 right now is plausible if the studio has any plans for sequels.

I just wish they would get the first movie made. Then if it is any good they can worry about a second. I doubt it will last beyond three films in even the best case whoever plays HH.
Rememeber that the guys making (an optimistic word) this film will not have the worlds biggest budget. All the characters will likely be relatively unfamiliar faces but hopefully, good actors. As for the person to play HH, that will be an unknown: think Noomi Rapace before she appeared in the first movie of the Millenium Trilogy. Nobody outside of the Swedish theater ever heard of her. Now she gets to make really big (and sometimes overblown) Hollywood films. I am NOT suggesting her for HH. She is a wee tiny person and likely better suited for Alison Harrington. Which brings us to the question of what/how to introduce prolong to the audience?

I think it could wait until the second movie because it doesn't really become an issue until meeting a society withou it. In OBS it's only an issue because of prolngimg Honor's poor self imqge.

How about Daniela Ruah, currently on NCIS:LA?

Good suggestion! I think Daniela would do great for an older Honor. Unfortunately HH is supposed to look very young in OBS. I'm not as familiar with the young actors as I should be. Hayden Panettiere is the only young, really good, actor I can think of, and even she may be too old. But loved her in Heroes.

I agree with a young, unknown Honor Harrington. The big one I don't agree with looking through the posts is Horace Harnkess. I always saw Harnkess as an Ernest Borgnine type. Sort of a combination of Fatso Judson, Quinton McHale, and Dominick Santini.

Watch http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Lfk-JTdQ_0I to see who I mean by Fatso Judson since McHale and Santini are the much more well known characters.

Not sure who I would actually cast, but that is the prototype I would be judging against.

Go rent Prometheus. Or look her up on IMDB.com. She is cute, but NOT a candidate for Honor. Except maybe in some Hollywood producer's mind.
