Could we maybe get wallpapers and avatars of Honor and/or Nimitz?

Hi Jerran

Welcome to the forums.

I hope you find them interesting enough to become a regular participant.

I have had many cats as pets during my life and if someone produced a wallpaper featuring Nimitz, I would certainly use it on at least one of my computer screens.

Good idea, IMO !!

Thank you for the welcome. :) This is the first forum I've posted to where anyone has taken the time to say welcome. As regards becoming a regular participant, I seldom have very much to say. I tend to be the quiet type who tends to observe more than interact. But I expect this won't be my last posting here. In fact, that you took the time to say welcome has increased the odds of further posts from me. Once again, thank you for the welcome. :)

Hi Jerran

When I was a child, my parents gave me advice, sometimes in parables that I did not always understand.

One of their favourite was "empty barrels make the most noise".

I was a natural chatterbox and it took me a long long time before I realized they were telling me to "shut up" [smile]

So, don't worry about not posting often.

"Silence is golden"

But we will welcome whatever bits of wisdom you wish to share with us !!!

Hi kbus888,

On Baen's Bar SusanGod posted the following that has cover art without words suitable for wall paper and her suggestion for treecat art wallpaper where I learned about the above site, right click and set wall paper for CoW wallpaper for your computer.

susangod wrote:
I use the wordless cover of CoW as my desktop because Nimitz is adorable. This is not an ugly face. (Crossing fingers that I attached his picture correctly. http://baencd.thefifthimperium.com/22-MissionofHonorCD/MissionofHonorCD/images/Art_CoW.jpg [Note I changed this right clicking original link would not let you set wallpaper, Set background image, Poker]) Remember, beauty is in the eye of the beholder! Treecats have a different criteria of beauty! They don't need to be attractive to all humans.

Hope this helps,

Re posting from Honorvere Froum as the threads get buried quick there:

pokermind wrote:Hi all,

Want A Rising Thunder cover art for wallpaper for your computer? Go to the following link on David Mattingly's website:

http://www.davidmattingly.com/Pages/MyLatest.html

move arrow up to painting, right click, then set as background. I E-Mailed David Mattingly prior to posting this with the above instructions, and he wrote back:

Sure, you can share that with my blessing.

So if you want it as wallpaper you have the artist's permission. He also noted he is thinking of making his cover art available for wallpaper free on his site. Hey we come to get free wallpaper we might look around, buy a print.

Poker AKA Charles.

Dave currently has free downloadable screen savers, only one Honorverse though:
