I think Jolene Blalock from the TV series Star Trek Enterprise would make a good Honor. She’s only 5’6, but her other features make her a good Honor, I think whoever they get to play the part, some special effects will have to be used for her height. It wouldn't be the first time thy've had to that

And she is only 36 years old. By the time The short Victorious War goes into production, she will be closer to 46. Height is not the issue. Prolong and age is the issue. |

I am very interested to see how Speilberg's, "Tin Tin" works out. If nothing is going to be put to film for the next year or so it might be that motion-capture/Cgi would be mature enough technology when the time comes to put words to film to be the ONLY solution to this question and THEN we can ask which actress works best with motion capture and THEN my choice would be Zoe Saldana. I thought her performance in Avatar was greatly under-appreciated considering how important the actor is to the motion capture technique. If Andy Serkis was a woman I would choose him. He is simply the best...so far. Maybe Zoe as Honor and Andy as Andrew?

Previously I had mentioned Stana Katic a a candidate for Honor and mentioned that I would comment more after seeing her in the next episode which was supposed to have some powerful scenes for her. Well, I thought her conversations with Michael Dorn's character, her psychologist were an excellent gauge for scenes we might see in an Honor Harrington movie.
It was not too bad, she had to really get into the mindset of having been the victim of a sniper and her desire to strike back and her fear of what would happen. Have to say I could seriously see her as Honor struggling with the Pavel Young issues and her own feelings. |

Arnold Schwarzsenegger as either Herzog von Rabenstrange, Chien Lu Anderman or the workout dummy that gets it's neck broken when Honor was miffed

Agreed. She did that very well. I'd go see her in the movie that has the tentative title "Honor Harrington." |

Ahnald is a rather overweight old man who dyes his hair and needs to wear a girdle when he takes his jacket off. I doubt that he could keep up with any athletic female these days, even as a martial arts workout dummy. Ah, but you are just kidding, I see. Funny! |

Michael Janvier anyone? Although his legs are probably not spindly enough for High Ridge. |

I agree with Sleepy, Ginnifer Goodwin does appear to look the part. Her face is the right shape and eyes are pretty close. She'll need contact lenses for the chocolate brown color, but that's no problem. Hair is good for HH from SVW onward. She is 33, but Hollywood-calliber makup can usually subtract 8-10 years from someone looks. That's why Joelene Blalock is a little too old for prolong here. Plus the eyes are a little too big I think. Molly Quinn is too young- as well as young looking. HH may have looked 23 in the early novels, but she was clearly very matured in her mannerism and commands. A more seasoned actress could pull this off. As far as the height issue, I think we're all going to have to accept that whomever plays HH won't be close to 2 meters tall. On the other hand, Tom Cruise is shorter than Ethan Hunt appears to be on screen and it's hasn't hurt his action scenes. Close in camera work should be able to make the HH actress tall enough.
