What did they call Lord Young on the Landing Dueling Field after his Duel with Honor Harrington?

Heartless. Bum-buh-puh

One post had country treecats listening to country and western music, chewing tobacco, and owning 53 guns (53 guns what a piker!) Well...

How can you tell a level headed country treecat?

The tobacco juice leaks equally on both sides of his mouth.

Listen up snotty jokers of the Honorverse the old Chief is going to give some lessons:

The first is a paraphrase of an old Rastus and Liza jokes the raciest and sexist jokes of my youth and in their original form the Duckk would be on me like a duck on a June-bug.

Twelve-year-old Raul Alexander-Harrington is talked into looking over the wall of a nearby nudest colony my his young chum. While peering over the wall standing on his chum's shoulders a knockout curvacious blond hoves into view.

Young Raul jumps off his friend's shoulders running and screaming. His friend tackles him and asks, "Raul why are you running so hard and screaming?"

"My mothers told me if I looked over that wall I would turn to stone, and something is getting hard already!"

A staple of sick humor even worse than light-bulb jokes were the Dead Baby Jokes, here is a paraphrase set in the Honorverse:

How does a dead Havenite Dolest cross the road?

Stapled to a chicken.

Then there were the Elephant jokes, to paraphrase:

How does the Hexapuma hide in small trees on Sphinx?

He climbs to the top, paints his claws red, and prey thinks its a cherry tree.

See Snotties almost any joke you know can be adapted to the Honorverse.

And maybe someone will find some which should be! (Just kidding!)

So ...

Knock, knock!

.....Who's there?

.....Who's there?

.....Who's there?

(Stealth humor. Or its absence? How do you tell? Oh, right!)

Mind-Pun

The Hexapuma is in his small tree with his red painted toe nails. Waddles-for-Desert not only thinks its a cherry tree, but that he is George Washington, and starts chopping it down.

What's going through the Hexapuma's mind?

Waddles for my desert. Bum-bugh-pum

Liked your Mesan humor AKA Stealth humor

OO OO what else went through the Hexapuma's mind?

Waddles-for-Desert the breakfast of champions.

For those who have not read it Starman Jones released last month by Bean has a character called a spider monkey with six limbs. Tech is dated, but story is good by one of the greats in Clasic Sci-Fi Robert Heinlein.

I think Waddles would be going through the Hexapuma's belly, not its mind.

Okay, time for a really dark PRH-era joke.

What is the last thing that goes through a Peep political dissenter's mind?

His air-car's drive turbine.

Warned you it was dark...

Good Brit Whit done up Bristol fashion (an old RN term meaning done correctly I believe.)

Just for Waddles a stab at a Knock knock Joke:

Knock Knock

Who's There?

Pod

Pod who?

Pod Layer ... Ta-Da!

CPO Poker Mind and Spacecat first Mangy Fur in their latest on the Grayson's Crummy Records, Inc. Lable:

"Momas don't let your babies grow up to be stand-up-comics

"They tell them old jokes and flunk economics ..."

You can do better on a Honorverse Knock Knock Joke? I double dog dare ya, come on prove it, Naner-naner-naner.

PS Spacecat First Mangy Fur has offered to play his Electric Lyre with any other Grayson classical music singer. So if you have a tune in your brain record it on the Grayson's Crummy Records, Inc. Label.

To the extent that a hexapuma has a mind, I suspect its belly is it.
