Is it just me, or is there a lot of names being used in both the Honorverse series, and the Safehold sereis? Im pretty sure I have seen almost every name from the Honorverse appear in Safehold, except for Honor and Nimitz.

so what say you?

No idea, the weird spellings in Safehold so distracted me from reading it, I stopped partway through book 1.

I've really enjoyed the books, though I did just give up and go by recognizing the letter combination rather than what the name was supposed to be.

If you just read them as normal names the first time, and substitute the real spelling in your head from the second time onwards, i find that makes it much easier to read, and faster too

I listen to both series on audiobooks so I hear the names and many are reused. Most often with very different personalities.

Maybe the 'phone book in DWs hometown only has a few names in it. But it sure must be a diverse place.

He also uses the names of certain lucky fans, and I am not sure how many times a Baen author is allowed to kill Joe Buckley, human or SD.
