Hi,
In "To End In Fire", it's stated several times that Audrey O'Hanrahan has been the only solarian reporter on the fleet train going to Galton. However, there's no mention of any press from the GA states. It's hard for me to imagine that thea didn't carry any reporters from Manticore, Haven, Grayson, Anderman or maybe even Beowulf. Especially with Honor being on good terms with Stacey Hauptman who is building their own press imperium. Do you think there have been some selected reporters on the fleet train? (Maybe on different ships?) Or did they all sub-license O'Hanrahans news feed? |

I expect you are correct that there are other reporters along. But they do not advance the story the way that Audrey does, since she is the only one with a Malign connection.

MWM has stated she’ll be the big transformation against the MALIGN when she finds out the truth in the continuation of Slaves books w/Marisa Wolf. |

I remember David did indicate that Audrey and her attitude towards the Malignment may be one of the factors leading to the downfall of the Malignment. Which is very likely, as she's smart, has a conscience, and is now hobnobbing with people like Zilwicki, Cachat and the Ghost Hunters analyzing what they found on Galton. IIRC, this was the second interview in the "Honorverse Today" podcast. https://tpenetwork.com/category/podcast ... rse-today/ |

I thought it was Most Wondrous/Wonderful Writer. Either way, that's MWW, not MWM. I suppose the original was a typo then. "A priest, an imam, and a rabbit walk into a blood donation bank. The attendant asks, "What blood type are you?". The rabbit answers, "I believe I'm a Type-O.'" |

Did the GA have an option of inviting the press in general? The GA would have wanted to ensure operational security. OpSec would have prevented the GA from sharing their findings with the press. We all remember what happened when the SLN lost their surprise factor. I don't think the GA could risk a leak.
The MA knew they were going to get a visit anyway. But I don't think the GA knew that they knew. Same as the SLN. .

If they had those concerns, then why invite Audrey? I would expect that there were more reporters than just her along. At least one from each system involved, plus a few more represent from major news organizations. The GA would want independent proof that their warnings of a previously unknown antagonist were proved correct. |

And rules and security around embedding reporters in military units should be well established. Basically it boils down to not telling them where you're going or what you're doing until after you leave (with them aboard) and then not giving them any way to file a report until after you've finished your mission. |
