David is not perfect with his timelines. There are a couple of oops that have been found along the way. I can’t remember who wrote traitor, but if it wasn’t David there is even less reliability should be placed on the story.

It was Tim and Tom. Aside from the founding of Kuan Yin we're discussing, the timeline holds very well in that story. It's a bit of a stretch that Cutler von Tischendorf could go from two ships to three battlecruisers in the time between the end of "Traitor" and the attack in Manticore in 1543 PD, but it's not impossible. |

AFAICT, the main action in "Traitor" takes place in 1528 PD. Thus, he had been accumulating his fleet for about 14 years when Llyn approached him. ----------------------------

Indeed. It's a bit more of a stretch on the piracy attacks starting in the 1530s and their sponsoring of the stealing of the Havenite ships at the Secour Conference in 1535, in particular given the travel times involved in this period. But not impossible. |
