The Mussolini (You all know the one, who was last seen hanging around Milan!) must be rubbing his ethereal hands in glee, down in whatever corner of hell where he’s currently residing! His Fascist party; after a number of name change, has again come to power in Italy, under the name: Brothers of Italy with a new charismatic leader Georgia Meloni as leader! The EU is in for a bumpy ride, now along with right-wing governments in Hungary and Poland, Italy joins the crowd. If there is a light point in this, it is that Ms. Meloni has made clear that she condemns Russia’s invasion of Ukraine. So more a Duda of Poland, rather than a Orban of Hungary. |

The media always describes anyone to the Right as "Far Right", people to the left are never described as "Far Left". |

According to the political spectrum test, I tend to be very close to centre with very mild authoritarian right leanings.
According to the standards of the media, I'm but one pace short of being the lovechild of Adolf Hitler and Genghis Khan. In the UK, the main TV an Internet media/News source, the BBC, recruits almost exclusively via the Guardian, a left-wing newspaper. This means that the default state of the officially-neutral BBC is actually skewed significantly to the left, as shown a decade or so back when Labour got thrashed in the elections and one reporter asked a former Labour MP "where did we go wrong?" Politics tends towads the pendulum effect. The harder the elite try to pull one way, the more the non-elite will react by pulling the other. ~~~~~~
I can't write anywhere near as well as Weber But I try nonetheless, And even do my own artwork. (Now on Twitter)and mentioned by RFC! ACNH Dreams at DA-6594-0940-7995 |

Question, how often do representatives of Reform UK and its various predecessors get the chance to be on the BBC despite their comparatively small reach vs let's say the Green party? How come it is being perceived as a more right-leaning publication by a lot of people? |

Anyone to the right, really? I mean, it might have something to do with very prominent people on the right, like VP Nominee JD Vance, being fascists and calling their political opponents subhuman (even indirectly). It might have something to do with prominent republicans making it seem like left-wing policies, even ones that are very mildly leftish, are evil, that anyone supporting them is in league with the devil or posessed by demons or whatever the fuck - when the most prominent faces of the conservative movement are literally denying their opponent's humanity and openly discuss that "something may have to be done about them", that might just go a tiny little bit beyond what one could call the "normal" right. Also, as someone who is very firmly far left, I can say with certainty that the equivalent people on the left side of US politics are, at best, somewhat left-ish. |

Vote for me, and you'll never have to vote again. Might be a red flag.
Funny in a sad way. The comments pages on our Australian newspapers are on about calling Harris and Walz "Marxists and neo communists". With the US politics skewed to the right, they are actually closer to our conservative parties. |
