Eric Flint has passed away today

In the breaks in his writing schedule, David has promised to stop by and chat for a while!

Sad News. It was a fun series to read. Hopefully it will go on.

Hopefully, as a tribute/Easter egg, we'll see a town/village named Grantville in the next Safehold book. (Extra kudos if it's a coal-mining community in the Glacierhearts.)

If you mean 1632, Ursus has been planning for his dropping out of it for at least 6 or 8 years now - it should go on for a fair while. Most of the people who actually turned it into a series are still around and still involved. Although I suspect it won't be getting as much room in Baen's schedule in the future, it will be like any other open-source project: as long as there are some keeners it will continue.

Whether he made similar plans for his other work, I don't know.

The "Rats Vats and Bats" books had me laughing so hard. I loved his style.
