And didn't Honor practice fencing at the academy? Or am I confusing her with Jean-Luc Picard?

Honor studied hand to hand combat at the Academy - the Andermani hand to hand martial Art the RMN had adopted.

Honor considered trying out for the shooting team, but she was already an awarded competitive shooter, and was looking for a challenge.

You’re thinking of Helen Zilwicki and the Neue Stile. Honor trained in coup de vitesse.

Thanks for the corrections.

The gist is anyway that she was very good at sports, training in martial arts and already being good at competitive shooting. Not to mention hang-gliding, which earned her her treecat name. So we can be assured she had really good hand-eye coordination, was at peak health condition, in addition to her being raised on 1.35 gravity giving her stronger muscles. Her higher metabolism was not a secret either.
