It's probably very simple.
In order to lie, you must know what the truth is in order to avoid speaking it.

Considering that what he is supposed to have lied to Pence about is what he, Mike Flynn, had spoken to the Russians about extremely recently... does this "very simple" explanation you speak of involve sudden onset amnesia or extreme cognitive impairment?

Aparently, Flynn didn't lie because it was Pence who lied.

Though I do think the brightest spark there thought that I was talking about Flynn lying to Joe Biden.
Turns out referring to the VP confuses some Trumpists.
