In other news Jacinda Arden, the Prime Minister of New Zealand, has been re-elected in a Landslide.

Same weekend our ACT (like Washington State) elected the Labor Party, for much the same reason. Next week my state Queensland is tipped to elect a Labor government for definitely that reason. Three progressive governments elected because of good Covid practices, might be an omen for the US.

I hope a good omen. About two weeks to go here. Waiting to see what happens...

Yes, absolutely. But a lot of it has to do with the National party's leadership(or lack thereof). From what I can see, Collins was their third or fourth leader this year. That's usually not a good proposition to voters anywhere.

New Trump vs Biden debates:

Biden: You are Russian agent!
Trump: No, you are Russian agent!
Russia: Could you finally decide, please, we don't know to whom we should send a bribe, and to whom - a salary!
------------------------------

Oh well, if shortening the front is what the Germans crave,
Let's shorten it to very end - the length of Fuhrer's grave.

(Red Army lyrics from 1945)

That is probably the funniest thing I will see today.

Dilandu, I am still enjoying your signature line... I also liked the joke. You can send the bribe to me...

I didn't see the debate. But I heard that it was more civil, although civility didn't prevent Trump's lying from increasing...

So... here we are, 10 days out from the election. I admit that I'm apprehensive. Polls show Biden ahead and very high voter turnout usually favors Democrats. But after the 2016 shocker...

So...how is everybody else feeling?

Scared.

I have some friends in the US, one of whom ... let's just say her husband makes Fly seem moderate.

He was talking civil war if Hillary won last election. After 4 years of Trump, there will be violence if he loses.
Hell, I expect there'll be right wing violence on election day.

It's just a question of how much.
