alternate history question

Yes i know we have had numerous alternate history question but i am very curious about a pivotal point in out eraths timeline when a particular incident happened and i dont recall the issue ever being addressed by anyone. at the time the western roman empire was faltering the daughter of the roman emperor sent a engagement ring to Attila the hun who took it as a wedding proposal and in our time line the idea was rejected out of hand. What if the roman emperor had accepted the idea and the romans and huns had merged as one empire. where would we be now if that had happened?
