The manticorians have develope and improve a lot of technics, but they also found some "new" technics.

The basketball size Jewel is the Grayson Compensator. They discovered it, because they worked really togeter with them and don´t be assholes, because their tec was more advanced.

So, what could they possible find out there?

At Honors adventure as a prisinor of war, her engeneer mentioned, that the emergency power gnerator of the assault shuttle the stole from haven was more effective than the manticorian desingn.

The manticorians have access to solarian warships! I wonder if they found some equippment that is better than theirs or has a diffrent design and is more effective after upgrade.

The same counts for the technic from Talbot and more important Silesia.

In addition to the Grayson compensator and the other tech that you list, there is also mention in UH that the Solarian graser mount was also very impressive. But the only answer we can give to your question is that we do not know: it is entirely up to the whim of the author whether something that the RMN finds among other worlds will be better than what they already have.

Since the time of King Roger, Manticore has been aggressive in gathering and evaluating information and technology from all over. That does not mean they have the best of everything, but it does mean that they will try to discover what is better wherever it can be found.

I asked David specifically about the Graser comment when the snippet first dropped. The Grasers in question are not a higher tech level than Manticore's, nor bigger or more powerful than Manticore's newest Capital mounts.

They were, however, an impressive, powerful, modern design and there are THOUSANDS of identical weapons in all the captured SDs. Enough that it was deemed worthy to pull them and find a new purpose for them (Most likely in Foraker's Improved, multishot IEWD platforms).

At the end of UH, the Grand Alliance grabbed Hyperion one and all the tech work going on out there. - they got the databases, the samples, the lab results, the prototypes... In short, they walked off with EVERY upcoming technology the SLN had in it's backpocket.

What the GA gleams from there will be interesting.

PHased Array graySERS?

Multiple mounts linked electronically to achieve diffraction limited beam colimation. Result is interplanetary or even interstellar range against free falling targets or targets accellerating on a constant vector with no erratic, evasive manauvers.

Sorry, we can't implement them. The SLN got sued in 1891 by the ancient Trans-Stellar Disney/Paramount/Vivendi/Warner/Fox Corp over Copyright/IP infringement and had to stop all research. A punative gag order even keeps it from being mentioned in SLN Documentation.

Manticore Grayson and now (seeing that they are sharing) Haven are going to have all that SL/Technodyne (and some interesting Alignment derived stuff) that Honor got from the SLN base at Ganymede.

Several times we have seen reference to the potential of existing SLN tech that was -the Manticore- only being held back by essentialy crappy software (from the RMN perspective) and lack of building on potential strengths.
Now they get to look at the source material.
Manticore and the rest of the GA is not blinded against looking at something new or different nor looking to improve something they come across.

That's what is probably going to guide their inovation into solution of the Spyder Drive and Streak Drive dilemmas. They KNOW it exists, heck, they even have some sensor data (which they have to work through) and they have some descriptions of the effects. So now they need to apply the combined talents of people at Bolthole and the RMN R&D groups to tease the solutions out and both find defenses/detectors for them and build their own equpment.

At the very minimum the missiles the SLN deployed have more powerful drives than the ones Manticore uses - now, because the League (and MAlign) lacked the baffle they couldn't do true multi-drive missiles. But each drive was more powerful (and the apparently 3rd gen Cataphract's drive ridiculously so).

Dropping those better drives into an upgraded Mk23 or Mk16 should be a snap.

I'm not sure if Manticore or Haven would want to go with Halo instead of, or in addition to Keyhole + Ghost Rider and Lorelei decoys - but that's the tech I specifically remember it being mentioned that the hardware was good but the software was letting it down.

And who knows what other toys are lurking in those R&D files that never made it into combat during the brief League - GA war.

I don't think it was "good" in comparison to current Alliance technology, but comparable to just-pre-ghost-rider technology. It was comparable to or slightly better than the decoy systems White Haven took Trevor's Star with.

What falls out might be an amalgam of the 2 - with a dispersed cloud of "disposable" fusion powered decoys instead of 1 or 2 large ones, stealing from the best ideas of all techs available. The sheer number of various designs that will roll around Bolthole the next few years will be staggering, as the techs start applying everything from the Manty, League and Havenite toolboxes .

I want to see all of the SL weapons technooogy that was rejected by the invincible SLN because the invincible SLN is invincible.
