For some reason I get a mental picture of an "El Presidente" of a banana republic graciously accepting "gifts" from foreign "dignitaries".

1) The President donates his entire salary to charity!

2) He's allowed to keep gifts but has to pay for them at fair market value!

Also, just for completeness' sake: Yes, Trump does donate his salary to charity. But did you know that President Obama donated a third of his salary and the award money from his Nobel Peace Prize? Which, incidentally, is nearly as much as his entire net worth at the start of his presidency; Somehow, I doubt that Trump will ever match that ratio.

He engages in a PR exercise of donating a smidgen of money to charity while giving himself tax breaks and directing spending towards his own businesses worth MANY TIMES more than what he is very publicly and theatrically giving away.
