Interesting article about negotiation. Now retired, an important part of my last job was negotiating for Defence equipment on behalf of Australia with various arms suppliers from a number of countries. I was initially dumbfounded by some US arms suppliers who negotiated in bad faith, hiding some negative aspects, and out to win at all costs on that specific deal. They were then dumbfounded in turn when I black listed them because they had breached our moral code of conduct. "Aw shucks boy, that was business, don't take it to heart, nothing personal".
Did them a lot of harm, as they lost some bigger deals, and were used as examples in training notes I wrote for our provisioning officers, who then were watching for those tactics. |

He escaped because of Jesus. And the fact that the English are classy. The U.S. is Manticore. England is Grayson. Trump is High Ridge. I am as embarrassed about our government with the Trumpster/Trickster as the Manties were with High Ridge. I can't even face the Graysons. Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense |

Just want to point out that those Brits who "love him" gathered a larger protest against him in London than he had at his "greatest crowd ever" inauguration in DC.

and of course... https://www.bostonglobe.com/news/politi ... ost_Viewed But Trump is angrily dismissive when questions are raised about his Russian contacts. He calls the investigation by special counsel Robert S. Mueller III a "witch hunt" and media reports about his Russia connections "fake news" and "fabrication." He tweeted in January, shortly before his inauguration: "I HAVE NOTHING TO DO WITH RUSSIA — NO DEALS, NO LOANS, NO NOTHING!" https://www.washingtonpost.com/opinions ... b886776b83 I gotta say that drugs are involved... either he is taking very strong ones or, he is off his medication. Great tie in with the Honorverse, especially since, like High Ridge, both are clueless, corrupt (born with silver spoon in mouth) and totally devoid of honor. A fine example is Gareth Southgate To the British, a ‘ Gentleman ' is a man who is modest, well-mannered, self deprecating, quietly intelligent, considerate of other people’s feeling, and well-informed. Turns out Kavanaugh might be too much of a whack-a-doodle gun bunny for the GOP to stomach.

Believe it when I see it, I have yet to witness the bottom in how low they are willing to lower their standards bar. |
