Not very much, really. The Mesan system navy never had a heavier warship than a BC. All are obsolete crap too.
As for their freighters, Manticore already has too many freighters and not enough work(many of those Solarian contracts are not coming back even if the peace sticks). Not too sure any purpose-built ships with slave equipment could be reused anyway - due to one of the Cherwell provisions. Bear in mind that the Mesa system does still need a navy - but one which protects its full population, rather than helping the ruling class to stay on top. It is in the GA's interests to make sure a government friendly to them arises on Mesa and then is capable of looking after its own system and termini. Even with the Lynx-Manticore link, Mesa is still very far away. |

The Manties have been training people in the Torch Navy. They could do the same for Mesa...which now might be part of that same navy, come to think about it. |

A Mesan Battlecruiser crewed by Torch Navy personel is a kind of poetic irony isn't it. Nimitz |

Indeed. Unfortunately, Torch is even further away from Mesa than Manticore is. They're on almost directly opposite sides of Sol. Wormhole connections might be able to shorten the distance, but neither Torch nor Mesa controls the intervening termini. In fact, unless there are better placed wormhole bridges not known to us readers, Torch's fastest route to Mesa would pass through Visigoth. Danger! I wouldn't expect to see Torch and Mesa unified. Closely allied and with many things in common, yes, but astrographical conditions are simply against them. |

10th fleet is now in control of The Mesa-Visigoth wormhole on both ends "UH"
Torch-Erewon-Visigoth thru the Manti Junction is less than 6 weeks Considering Torch's head of all things military is on Mesa. I am sure they can send a few "Diplomats" Nimitz |

For now. Unless they plan on that second war with the SL it isn't going to last. And I suspect that WH will generally end up with at least moderate fortifications over the next decade. |

True after the defeat of the SLN on SOL - I wonder how many System Defence Forces want to stick thier heads in the Lions Mouth i.e. GA for the glory of the RF or MA Nimitz |

It's not really in use by Torch. Even if it was, we don't know that the Felix or any of its connecting termini are anywhere near Mesa. The shortest known route is Congo-Erewhon-Phoenix-Manticore-Beowulf-Visigoth-Mesa. Four wormhole jumps and something like two to four weeks of hypering between termini. Tenth Fleet cannot maintain control over the Visigoth Junction forever. It just seems too tenous a connection to form a two-system nation with. |
