O'Hanrahan was told to stay at a specific hotel on Mesa, if the hotel she previously planned on staying at was destroyed, either directly or as fairly close collateral damage, finding out that information could lead to the assumption that the explosions were planned before 5th fleet's arrival.

Given her assigned role by the onion along with the MA's severe compartmentalization, I doubt that O'Hanrahan will be a useful sourse of info. I doubt that she even knows about the onion.

I find myself thinking that she might be a candidate for flipping loyalties...someone more like Jack McBryde.

She is an alpha. There is textev for that.

Ok,sure, now they can sort of gather hearsay evidence suggesting somebody was psychic. Interesting information. Verrry interresting. Circumstantial at best. Leads the GA absolutely no closer, to the trail of Darius. And with the demise of the SL1.0 and absolutely no real anything to gain from flogging the dead horse, The story dies a most abrupt death. Like who cares any more how angry the folks inside the Kuiper Belt get?

Textev that she is an alpha. Textev she does not hate Manticore, textev she does not believe almost anything coming out of Mesa. Indirect textev she knows absolutely nothing about The Onion, since everyone who does know anything was targeted for removal or extermination. Since she was neither, textev must show she is no part of The Onion.

Or if she is, its really sloppy bookkeeping on somebody's part.

O'Hanrahan came in from Sol as a journalist. Changing hotels is not that kind of flag to look for.
Other than some of the Alignment hierarchy not many would know O'Hanrahan was either an Alpha-line nor an agent for the Alignment. She would NOT have been on any of the Houdini related lists (transport, execute, use as collateral damage) so unless someone told part of the planning crew for the Final Flourish and Tidy UP events NOT to hit that hotel and someone got asking why.....well, she was on-planet but not exactly in a known planned elimination event site.

I'm thinking that if the MAlign had lists of people who were to be gathered, they also had the foresight to make sure they were gathered there. Those who didn't make it, probably didn't make it because they were already dead, killed by Gauls. It's possible a few slipped between the cracks, killed their Gaul minders, or whatever, but I also imagine that (a) these people have suicide nano and (b) there is a cleanup crew of Gauls looking for them, also with suicide nano.

Yeah, that should keep Michelle and Lester tied down for a decade or two. Unless they're smart enough to turn everything over to Black Victor et cie and disappear over the hyper limit.

Michelle and Lester are smart enough to know that that kind of detailed intelligence work is outside of their remit and experience. Victor et cie are more appropriate for that kind of work. And Victor and Anton will set it up and go off following other leads as they develop.

Wasn't Harahap on his way back to Mesa as well?

I recall lots of Board speculation that he and Indy should be, and how useful they would be roaming the galaxy ferreting out clues as to the location of Darius. I just don't recall much happening in the text after the Fire Watch incident.

Of course, being not particularly action packed, I probably just gave it a cursory read, nodded and forgot it.

I wouldn't be surprised if the GA wanted to give her an interview with Gold Peak or Tourville so they could deny responsibility for the attack on Mesa. What happens if a treecat gets a whiff of her mind glow?

Wow, instant adoption mode!

Not really sure that even as an alpha line O'Hanrahan really hates Manticore/Manticorans/RMN. She certainly has no problem taking on the arrogant and powerful.

She is still alive and on Mesa. THEREFORE by definition she knows nothing of the Onion, hence can reveal nothing even to a treecat.

There is no way to say what she does or does not know.
