The only way I see if Trump is to lose 2020 election is for Mueller to blow up the railroad bridge outside of town! That's the only hope I see for the anti Trumper's is for Mueller to subpoena Trump and attempt to get Trump on perjury charges. The reason I I believe is that Mueller appears desperate to get Trump. That little fiasco of sending FBI to break down Cohen's office. Good luck! That appears to be an act of desperation. Remind me what Mueller was orginally suppose to investigate...oh that's right Russia collusion. The kicker is the Judge is one of HRC campaign supporter. Then a different Judge gave the prosecuting attorney a couple of days to produce the memo that outlines Mueller's authority in the Paul Manafort case. This is getting good. Hey Gcomeau please make a second batch of popcorn! If only my Doctor would let me have a Coke! The next few months shall prove to be interesting politically speaking and God only knows where this is going to end up. |

Wow... Just, wow. Do you have any idea what evidential bar prosecutors have to clear to get a warrant to raid an attorney? ANY attorney, let alone the personal attorney of the President? If any judge in the country signed off on that it's because they have him dead to rights. Cohen is damn near certainly going to prison unless he makes a deal. And if you watch carefully, the talk even on the right tends to be over whether Cohen will flip... not whether Trump has anything for him to flip with. Because *everyone* knows Trump is crooked and there's something to turn him in on. But you keep living your delusion that this is all some "act of desperation" if it makes you feel better. And as for what Mueller was originally supposed to investigate? All of this. This stuff he's investigating. That's what. |

Slight correction there smr.
Meuller didn't send the FBI to break into Cohen's office. It was a district attorney in NY. The FBI did not break in. They executed a search warrant that was duely authorised by a judge. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I think that it's a very telling point that a judge was convinced a search of an attorney's office (especially the personal attorney of POTUS) was not only needed but legally justified based on the evidence presented to him.
Like Trump or don't like Trump you must be well aware that any judge who would sign off on a warrant to search an attorney's office is quite likely to be flushing his career down the drain and would not do so without compelling evidence being presented to him. If you're the judge presented with this evidence and like Trump, you're more likely to demand that the evidence be overwhelming. If you're a judge who hates Trump you'll sign off on the flimsiest excuse, but you'll know that Trump is a vindictive SOB who goes after anyone who looks at him sideways. So you're effectively ending your career unless you can prove Trump was just being retaliatory. Most judges have some sort of political agenda, and getting fired for trying to put one over on POTUS won't help at all. Guilt or not this not waters most judges are going to be willing to go fishing in without a lot of justification. |

And to push the story back a bit and get a wider frame on events: Does anyone remember that massive document leak from Panama a few years back detailing considerable money laundering, bribery, sanctions evasions etc.?well, its back. Some of those documents are direct links to the Russian gut and his cousin involved with Cohen's shiny new LLC that funnelled all the money to Stormy Daniels. PS Mueller's mandate is not limited to "russian involvement in the election" but includes the independent clause: "where ever the evidence leads." So whatever evidence of crimes he uncovers is fair game. And an extremely self-serving and partisan declaration of no collusion by the Republicans on the House Intelligence Committee has little weight. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Trump just got up and boasted he was giving the military their first pay raise in 10 years. (The fact that that covers Obama's entire term is, I'm sure, pure coincidence)
The military has gotten a pay raise EVERY SINGLE YEAR for the last three decades. Those pay raises happen automatically by act of Congress. Trump has squat to do with them. |
