My guess is that snippets from UH will resume in May or June.

There was a comment by John Ringo recently that mentioned health issues with David Weber. So he might just not have time for this.

That could be a matter of concern, primarily for David and his family, but for all of us too, to a lesser extent. Depends how serious it is. He really does need not to push himself as hard as he was doing previously, and we really do need to contain our souls in patience.

I think there was a realization that if he continued at the rate he was posting, he'd have posted almost half of the book by the release date. But yes, let us hope it is ot something more serious.

Was a combination of health issues --- including replacing both of Sharon's knees, plus my own . . . interesting excursions --- and major, major schedule crush, plus coming up on my 20th anniversary with the short red-haired person who pretty much owns my heart. That requires a certain amount of serious time off doing Real World stuff with her and the kids.

If I stick my nose into the forums, I fall down a rabbit hole, and I just decided that I couldn't do that this time around. Still can't, really, but I'm going to try to do better at least about snippets. No promises, though!!

From comments made by Toni (on Baen's Bar), it does sound like the eARC will be released on Easter Sunday.

As for Snippets, I know that The Magnificent Wizard Weber doesn't like large parts of the books being snippeted (IIRC 30% is as much as he likes).

While I'll be purchasing this eARC as soon as I can, the Oct 2nd release date tells me that regular snippets (from the beginning of the book onwards) likely won't start soon.

Of course, The Great Wizard Weber has made a couple of "out-of-place" snippets and may post more. :)

David just posted, in one of his snippets, that the earc will be released April 1.
