Followed it for a while when it was new. The humorous topics got mildly interesting responses but the more serious policy topics got the usual politician non-answers and/or rhetoric. Gave up after a while. Can't recall any specific good it achieved. It got a lot of media buzz at first but over time everyone seemed to lose interest. I haven't seen any news stories on it in years. |

I started wondering.
The President, and his followers, have been spouting a line about being able to say Merry Christmass again, and that President Trump is the reason that they can. I wonder if his belief in that stems more from when Donald Trump himself starting to use the term a few years ago as opposed to the Happy Holidays he used to say. IE: The people are allowed to use the term because he now does. ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

So... this happened.
The,right wing news bubble, led by Fox, has been having a collective freakout the last few days over a "secret society" in the FBI. Corruptions the highest levels! A shadowy conspiracy designed to bring down the President! We have evidence from FBI text messages! Senator Ron Johnson went on Fox and claimed to a national audience yesterday he had an informant even!!!!! This is totally real!!! A United States Senator. Then today the "incriminating text" leaked. It was a one line sarcastic joke from one agent after the election saying" “Are you even going to give out your calendars? Seems kind of depressing. Maybe it should just be the first meeting of the secret society,” This morning Johnson rapidly backpedaled and basically admitted his informant claims were bullshit. I expect Hannity and Alex Jones will never let this go though. And another nutcase right wing conspiracy is born! This one undermining the entire FBI. All to try to provide cover for Trump. I want to be able to laugh... but this is actually seriously dangerous stuff. |
