I want an eArc of the book. That's all.

As for Hamish in charge of a fleet, right now the top admiral for running fleets is probably Honor.

And changing Emily would be a distraction. Science doesn't work that way.

Or somebody on Mesa having cooked up a metamorphic foxfication virus, maybe just as a hobby project. For that to work in a reasonable time in a non-magical universe, it has to include something acting like built-in regen, leading to obvious core-character-relevant implications :mrgreen:.

There may be side effects though.

Right now the top RMN Admiral for running fleets is probably Mike. Even Honor's a step removed from the front lines these days.

Still, the reason why I want it is because RFC kind of used Hamish like Star Trek: TNG used Worf. When TNG wanted to show how tough a character was, they'd have them win a fight with Worf. When RFC wanted to show how good a Havenite Admiral was, he'd have them win against Hamish. Plus his major accomplishments were largely 'off-screen'. And so I want readers to remember that Hamish Alexander-Harrington is in fact very good at his job, and a worthy partner of our heroine, even if I'm not a big fan of the threesome.
