Where is the damage from impellers for the bombs that did not burst above their targets? Those wedges are a couple of kilometers wide. I am not sure the output of every explosion was high enough to completely erase all signs of impeller damage. Once the missile is launched, the drives continue until burnout or it's destroyed. That means until they detonate. Of course the drives would likely be destroyed hitting the earth. Odds are good the missile's innards would be above ground at that point. So, how to explain those explosions from bombs planted on or underground?

Missile drives can be turned off easily. It's turning them back on that's really hard. |

Wait, were these bombs that were buried underground? Because an airburst or burst at ground level wouldn't look much like underground explosions. Sure a missile could punch down and detonate deep underground, but I would guess you'd need a fast enough missile that it would heat the air enough to be obvious and visible.
But clearing the tenth fleet might not clear the GA if they've fingered the GA for the first set of nukes. |

I don't see how the GA could have delivered those bombs if they didn't come from 10th Fleet. Had those bombs existed on Mesa prior to 10th Fleet's arrival, why weren't they used to save Thandi and the Seccies at Neue Rostock? If this was the GA's fault, the bombs had to come from 10th Fleet. |

I honestly have no inside track on this information (meant more towards other forum goers and NOT RFC), despite my BuNine affiliation, but I'm just going to hazard a guess and say some really good evidence is that there are no weapons expenditures from Mike's ships. Check the magazines against the manifest - full when they left? Check. Full now? Check. =================

Well, of course the Manties say they didn't shoot any missiles. I'm sure we can trust them to only tell the truth. Oh, and it's funny how missiles pods don't fit in magazines... |

I don't know what RFC is referring to when he talks about persuasive evidence that 10th Fleet wasn't involved.
But it does seem to me that the most obvious way of clearing 10th Fleet would be to do a forensic examination of the blast sites. Take a team composed of all interested parties which would include the Mesans themselves and establish whether the residue of the explosions was local to Mesa or if it had originated off planet. If it is local to Mesa, 10th Fleet would be off the hook. Don - When any group seeks political power in God's name, both religion and politics are instantly corrupted.

Luckily we know the answer to that. It isn’t local to Mesa. |

OK, I get it. Everything Mesa had that was capable of tracking missiles was either in warships whose crews had evacuated after surrendering or had been blown up in the flood of bombings. As for your hint, the target selection appears to be a bit odd for a revenge strike. Was a major metropolitan area hit at all? BTW, Since all of those fusion bombs had been in place for weeks (even months or longer), was Albrecht planning for a covert courier to be sitting outside the Mesa hyperlimit waiting for a fleet shows up? (whereupon it will trigger the bombs) ----------------------------

I think that most of those bombs would not have gone off if they had more time.
