I'm not going to comment on most of these, but I invited Elizabeth to participate in one of the anthologies. At that point, there were serious health problems (not all hers) that precluded her from accepting the invitation, although I think she really wanted to. I have no idea where she is on that now, but I'd still love to have her.

C J Cherryh has always been a fave of mine. Jams S.A. Corey would be way cool

SA Corey could be confusing, though. They've already written a novel called Honor Among Thieves, which isn't anything to do with the Honorverse(it's Star Wars).

I would give actual limbs for a Diane Duane story.

(...of course then she'd probably just wind up murdering all of our emotions, so....)

I'd like to see something by John Scalzi. I enjoy his sense of humor and I think it'd work well in an Honorverse short story.

A Lee-and-Miller-story in the Honorverse - yeah, that I'd like to read, too!

Sadly, the authors I'd like to see aren't writing anything these days -- unless they've taken up ghost writing.

Heinlein, Asimov, Pournelle, e.e. Smith, and all of the "Golden Age" authors that shaped my love of speculative fiction would be my choices for a dream-team anthology.

Larry Niven is about the only one from that era still living that I can recall off-hand.

One of my other favorite authors, Jim Butcher, once made a comment that he would love to do a story about a Gryphon Marine and his treecat.

So I vote that.

Alan Dean Foster.

Imagine Pip and Flinx meeting Honor and Nimitz.

For those who don't know, Pip is an Alaspinian Minidrag (Miniature Dragon - really just a 1.5-2 meter snake) that flies and spits corrosive toxin, usually aiming for the eyes - death in 60 seconds, no known antivenin (not that it would matter, with the acid). Oh yeah, she's also empathetically bonded to Flinx (one Philip Lynx, a young man whose genes were illegally fiddled with in the womb and has on-again, off-again empathic and telepathic abilities).
