wasn't hypatia one of the librarians of Alexandria's library?

the system who isn't part of the league but does some business with beowulf? if so then 20M dead when they aren't even part of the war is a serious escalation by the mandarins

It is also EXHIBIT D of the fact that the League are indeed barbarous, murderous idiots. ;)

If it is actually done by the League. We don't know for sure. It seems likely but are the naval leaders so stupid they can't figure out what could rebound on them?

It could be a MAlign plot. Why not? They pretended to be Manties, why not League ships?

On the other hand, many of the admirals have seemed not to care.

But it is clear that we absolutely NEED to have all the material in the book up to this point as Snippet 5.

All in favor?

On which end does my name happen to appear? If it happens to on the business end of both, please accept my apologies. Otherwise, glad to help!

Trying to return to topic, it sounds like Operation Buccaneer Act I scene 2. Must be [yet maybe not] another SLN BF detatchment. They are giving a [totally unrealistic] timetable for civilian evacuation, unlike the MAN's Yawata strike which gave no warning whatsoever, but notice none-the-less.

With Act 1 scene 4 (or so) presumably being the bit we got with the Destroyer captain threatening to smash up some more of the SLN BCs threatening that system.

Wonderful! I had thought by jumping to the conclusion of Eloise's death, I had incurred your wrath. It was like a gut punch when RFC's comments suggested that outcome to me. I hope I am wrong, but dread that I am not.

The hotshot commander is part of the Protector's Own. That is becoming more and more likely with each out of order snippet. I wonder if we met her before in passing?

I've had a gut feeling we were going to lose her ever since ART came out, to be honest. Not just because I love her too much, but because that shining, glimmering moment of her and Elizabeth working together and becoming actual friends is exactly the kind of beautiful castle in the air that authors love to give us right before they rip it away.

I hope to God I'm wrong, but I'm not counting on her survival. I doubt the GA would collapse with her death, but it would certainly be a bitter blow.

And if I do lose her, at least I'd have the consolation that she'll be with Javier again. It won't even take the edge off my wrath, but it'll be something, at least.

(Boy, do I hope RFC is gonna prove me wrong on this one. Never have I ever wanted to be wrong about something (fictional) in my life.)
