RFC dropped a couple of hints that we may loose some long term characters in UH.
might be just me but I think i see hints about Emily not making it and of course there is always the chance that RFC will kill off Honor and Nimitiz like he once planned to.
after all this book is meant to finish honor's arc but not honorverse completely and you can't be nagged for more adventures of someone who is dead. well apart from filling in the gaps, we know very little beyond general info about where and what happens to honor after her middie cruise until she appears as as XO on a CA. plus there is gap from there to before she is given Hawkwing.
i do wonder about the rest of fearless' original crew. they seem most likely on RFC's "kill them and the fans will be crying list" Rafe seems safe with a SD(P) at his command and unlike honor he won't be talking face to face with any sollies. Mercades Brigham? well she tends to be where honor is and trouble does love to follow honor.
Scotty and Harkness? well they are off causing the sollies trouble by "liberating" planets and i'm sure the SLN doesn't like that but unless their ship is ambushed by 4+ BC while on single patrol I doubt the SLN can do much against a SAG-C
Samual webster I believe is in silessa, so in theory at risk from solly raiders but he is an admiral and unlikely to be travelling in anything less a BC, and not likely to have less then then a division of them at that. plus I doubt the SLN could even get to silessa before the mandarins are brought down.
