Fortitudo, Fidelitas, Decus
What do the words translate to? The first two are Fortitude and Brotherhood, I presume, but no clue on the last word. Help? Lizard in the sun...

If Google Translate is to be believed, it's "Strength, Fidelity, Beauty".
EDIT: digging around a little more, the Latin root would more imply something like "Splendor", "Glory", "Honor", or "Grace". |

That makes sense. I guessed at the first one and knew the second (Semper Fidelus - Brothers forever from the Marine Corp) but I couldn't get any of the translators to spit out anything for Decus. Except now I wrote it wrong. Forever Loyal. Sigh... there is probably a very good reason why I am just a civie. Thanks for solving for me! Lizard in the sun...

Not if the Latinists get to him first. Although they might go for something a bit lower.
"Brothers Forever" would be Semper Fratres

But their unofficial motto is "You have to go out, you don't have to come back" |
