If you have already bought the hardcover.

Great, isn't it? I have taken advantage of this program with HFQ as well as ASoT

Are you sure? The offer was in addition to purchasing the hardcover. Buy HC, get Kindle for $2.99.

I took this offer this time and wish the reverse were also true as I purchased the last two books in kindle only and paid nearly as much as the hard cover.

Hind sight 20/20? Only if you look at what happened.

As in you can buy the Kindle version for $2.99 and read it right now? Or as in you can buy it for a discounted price and wait to actually get it on the official release date?

You will get it on the release date. If you specify, it will be automatically delivered to the device of your choice.

The important point is without the hardcover + kindle bundle, the kindle version costs $14.99

And I did not have to buy the 2 at the same time, I purchased the hardcover month ago, and was able to add the Kindle version yesterday for the lower price.

Alas, we have to wait for the release date... however; I can be reading it with morning coffee rather than waiting for the afternoon UPS delivery.

tried for HFQ and for AtSt and it seems to be only for amazon.com customers who live in the US. Does annoy me a bit but nothing i can do about it.

Or instead of waiting for a delivery, you could go out to your local brick and mortar book store and buy the hardback the day it comes in. That is what I did yesterday. It is a really good book. :D
