Ground Control to Major Tom
Ground Control to Major Tom
Take your protein pills and put your helmet on
Ground Control to Major Tom (ten, nine, eight, seven, six)
Commencing countdown, engines on (five, four, three)
Check ignition and may God's love be with you (two, one, liftoff)
This is Ground Control to Major Tom
You've really made the grade
And the papers want to know whose shirts you wear
Now it's time to leave the capsule if you dare
"This is Major Tom to Ground Control
I'm stepping through the door
And I'm floating in a most peculiar way
And the stars look very different today
For here
Am I sitting in a tin can
Far above the world
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do
Though I'm past one hundred thousand miles
I'm feeling very still
And I think my spaceship knows which way to go
Tell my wife I love her very much she knows
Ground Control to Major Tom
Your circuit's dead, there's something wrong
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you hear me, Major Tom?
Can you "Here am I floating 'round my tin can
Far above the moon
Planet Earth is blue
And there's nothing I can do"

And I thought their "classical" music was what once was called Country and [or] Western.

For Darius, Bob Dylan's - A Hard Rains A Gunna Fall

For Manticore, possibly Queen's Bohemian Rhapsody "We are the champions". Although it should be edited down to a manageable length.

Sure thing. But you have to remember, it is all in the arrangement - any way you want it. Country and Western is simply a good ole' fashioned hoe-down with music done by someone drunk and haggard in a smoke filled room. Or just someone named Haggard. Merle that is. Just throw in a Fender Telecaster and steel guitars and have yourself a do-si-do. The poison filled atmosphere of the planet substitutes for the smoke. And the Armsmen get drunk with revenge. Before the Masadans parted ways, just a woman throwing down on the dance floor twirling her skirt high up in the air constituted an old fashioned hoe down, which resulted in a hoe getting beat down when she got herself home. Yep, sounds like good ole' Country and Western to me. LOL

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

If you're not going to use real music, why not 'We will, we will ROCK YOU!'? There don't seem to be any more words, so it would be easy to learn.

Cheers, John

Ah, John? That would also be a great one for Masada.

We will, we will Rock you! (We'll hurl huge boulders at your planet!)

And the garbled lyrics of "abracadabra yabba dabba yatta yatta bah ..."Can easily be attributed to "speaking in tongues."

Lyrics
Thunder, thunder, thunder, thunder
I was caught
In the middle of a railroad track
I looked round
And I knew there was no turning back
My mind raced
And I thought what could I do
And I knew
There was no help, no help from you
Sound of the drums
Beating in my heart
The thunder of guns
Tore me apart
You've been
Thunderstruck

Rode down the highway
Broke the limit, we hit the town
Went through to Texas, yeah Texas, and we had some fun
We met some girls
Some dancers who gave a good time
Broke all the rules
Played all the fools
Yeah yeah they, they, they blew our minds
And I was shaking at the knees
Could I come again please
Yeah them ladies were too kind
You've been
Thunderstruck

I was shaking at the knees
Could I come again please

Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck
It's alright, we're doin' fine
It's alright, we're doin' fine, fine, fine
Thunderstruck, yeah, yeah, yeah
Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck
Thunderstruck, baby, baby
Thunderstruck, you've been Thunderstruck
Thunderstruck, Thunderstruck
You've been Thunderstruck

Becomes hmmm

Thunder, thunder, thunder, thunder
I was caught
In the middle of a battle
I looked round
And I knew there was no turning back
My mind raced
And I thought what could I do
And I knew
There was no help, no help from you
Sound of the drums
Beating in my heart
The thunder of grasers
Tore me apart
we've been
Thunderstruck

Crashing up the gravity well
Broke the limit, we hit Hyper Space
Went through to Grayson, Then on through Haven, Until we hit the League.
We had some fun, met some Solarans, kicked some ass
Some gave a good time, broke all the rules
We played all those fools
Yeah yeah they, they, they blew up
They've met the Majesty of Manticore.

Manticore, Manticore, Manticore, Manticore
It's alright, we're doin' fine
It's alright, we're doin' fine, fine, fine
Manticore, yeah, yeah, yeah
Manticore, you've been Thunderstruck
By Manticore.

Something something....
