[Edit] Interesting. Book Depository is quoting price as £22.92, but amazon uk is showing hardback as £13.59... that seems a large price difference. That eases the pain a bit

I don't see any advantage to preordering and allowing store to sit on my money while I wait on book. I'll just download when it becomes available and pick up print copy when I make it to the store.

I think that you can check on Amazon for these yourself BUT I want to thank you for this list as I did not realize that Heinlein's books have made it to Kindle. I will be spending some money there I think! For myself, there are still some books that I really keep hitting that 'I want in Kindle' button. Roger Zelazny's nonAvalon books, Raymond Feist's Magician series and some others.

Baen carries a lot of otherwise out of print books in E-format. I checked the Heinlein list and while it has a lot of his juveniles, it doesn't have the ones mentioned. I didn't check any of the other authors suggested.

Beg to differ but "Stranger in a Strange Land " is available ($9.99) while the "Man Who Sold the Moon" is available ($6.99) as a 'double' with "Orphans of the Sky" (not the collection!) This is Kindle - Amazon USA if that makes a difference and my search args in Amazon were "heinlein stranger" and "heinlein man who sold".

How is that a differ? I spoke directly of Baen Books, (http://www.baen.com/), not of what is available through Amazon.
