They are guilty of being in the country illegally. That is a crime. Penalty is deportation.

You know what a monopoly is right? Because in the very next statement you make you are commenting on what private schools do... so I'm assuming you are aware of their existence.
School boards are how local populations exercise control over educational policy in their area. So basically you want to remove their ability to do that because you can't be bothered to understand how the process works and therefore it obviously has no point.
And how exactly would they go about doing that if you break up their unions? On an individual basis? Would you like to volunteer on behalf of "we the taxpayers" to handle every individual request from any government employee to have their salary reconsidered?
Congratulations, you just bankrupted about a third of the states in the union. But I'm sure states like California will thank you since the taxes they pay are basically subsidizing about a dozen little red state budgets.
What the hell are you even talking about? Nobody ever "caves" to that foot stomping little child. His nation is still under crippling sanction, the US is still basing large concentrations of troops in South Korea to keep the North squatting on its side of the border, and nothing is looking to change that unless the North gets its shit together someday and grows the hell up. |

Well the GOP certainly fucked up the VP debate.
Accidently posting their pre written post debate blogs 90 minutes before it started. To me though, it seems to say that both sides knew everything the moderator was going to ask before hand. Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

I think the more telling long term fuck up was Pence trying to "win" the debate by refusing to acknowledge the existence of Donald Trump or anything he's ever said. He seemed to be more interested in insulating himself from the contamination of Trump's statements and behavior than in supporting the person at the head of the ticket. Which to a certain extent it's hard to blame him for, it's a big ask to have the guy go up there and actually try to defend Trump's campaign and taint himself and his own political career with those positions and general idiotic claims... but just repeatedly denying that Trump has ever said or done the things he's spent the *entire campaign* saying and doing is going to be fodder for ads for the next week at least. They've already started... https://twitter.com/HillaryClinton/stat ... 7247114240 |

As some other commenters elseweb have said, there were two debates running there: Kaine vs Pence, and Kaine vs Trump. While Pence arguably won his duel with Pence (leaving aside the issue of having to lie through his teeth to do so), he certainly didn't stop Kaine while he landed blow after blow against Trump.

Parents who send their children to private schools still have to pay for the government schools. Being forced to pay for a product you don't want...sure sounds like monopoly to me.
School boards are how the government exercises control over the people in their area. Like forcing you to either send your kids to the school THEY dictate, or send them to private school and pay twice.
They should never have been induced to become dependent on those payments in the first place. Reduce government to what we can afford. The whole system of doling out money from the federal government promotes fraud and corruption. 'Pork Barrel', anybody? ------------------- If a business tries something that doesn't work, they have to stop doing it or they will go broke. If the government tries something that doesn't work, they will keep shoveling our money into it forever, and we all go broke. |

People without cars are still required to pay for roads. Same thing really.
(The system down here is supposed to work that all schools get operating funding based on student numbers, and that private schools can charge above this. It doesn't) Sent from my SM-G920I using Tapatalk ~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~~

Considering that possibly all developed countries have a more federalised system than the US and manage well it just might be possible that the US should consider more centralisation.
To those of us outside it does seem unusual to have a country with 50 different systems for every aspect of public administration. |

Like most of the best laid plans of mice and men... Jefferson thought the US would remain a nation of yeoman farmers, professionals and craftsmen plying their trades. He thought citizens would consider them selves Virginians or Texicans first and citizens of the US second, if at all. And for his left wing liberalism (18th century style), He wanted no truck with Democracy (of the Athenian persuasion). which is why we gotthe Electoral College instead of direct election of the president, and, until amended out by Amendment 17, Us senators chosen by the State legislature. Also, If Public Schools held a monopoly, there would be NO private schools below University. I suppose if I was pres, my first Executive order would be to my Secretary of Commerce to require Employers to make their own legally binding decisions re the leal status of their employees. Doesn't take a real HR genius to figure out that there can't be 25 Jose Gonzalez's with the same SSN and all of them be legal. My second would be to the Justice department to crack down on employers hiring illegals. My next move would be to invite the GOP leadership to my office for breakfast, and inform them that I fully intend to deport every illegal alien in the US But they have to come up with the $50,000,000,000 it will cost. Helas, chou, Je m'en fache.

When considering the true impact of your taxes, Elizabeth Warren said it best:
"There is nobody in this country who got rich on his own. Nobody. ... You moved your goods to market on the roads the rest of us paid for; you hired workers the rest of us paid to educate; you were safe in your factory because of police forces and fire forces that the rest of us paid for. You didn't have to worry that marauding bands would come and seize everything at your factory, and hire someone to protect against this, because of the work the rest of us did. Now look, you built a factory and it turned into something terrific, or a great idea. God bless. Keep a big hunk of it. But part of the underlying social contract is, you take a hunk of that and pay forward for the next kid who comes along." |
