Obviously I agree that it is your country, and your voter's decision. We do have a stake in it as well, in that the US does a great many things that impact on the rest of us. A short tempered man who appears to be a bully used to getting his own way is not an ideal person to have in charge of a nuclear arsenal. Clinton is no prize but is less likely to have an impact on the rest of the world.
As to the personality bit I did say I was prejudiced. Plus I agree that some Aussies are a disgrace being drunken louts (our term is Bogans) Not all, as not all US citizens are. Exactly a year ago I was on a excursion boat in Amsterdam listening to a US woman shouting that she was a Marine Colonel who knew things, as in the European capitals were frauds as the cobble stoned streets had obviously been put there for tourists, as you couldn't have used horses on them in by gone days.

Of course our President will impact you. You would prefer for us to elect someone to your preference. Completely understandable. Unfortunately, your preference is quite low on most of our priority lists. You'll just have to suffer with the rest of us should Trump win. If he does win, I am glad I will suffer less than under the alternative.

Peter, Trump isn't being tried. He bribed his way out of any possible charges.

He is being sued however, and given how many various wrong doings he is being sued over, it amazes me how he can possibly be considered the more moral, less corrupt one.

Different kettle of fish.

But it doesn't amaze you that Clinton establishes foreign and domestic economy branches of a "foundation" to collect contributions for granting access to her as Sec State? That is public corruption on the highest order. It is illegal as she collects contributions from foreign sources.

Your arguments smack of selective outrage and is the very sort of response that suggests my opinion of Clinton is being confirmed accurate by foreigners.

Trump Says U.S. Police Need to Racially Profile 'Like They Do in Israel'

'Israel has done an unbelievable job,' Republican candidate tells 'Fox and Friends' amid manhunt for N.Y. bombing suspect Ahamd Rahami.

Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump again cited Israel as a model that the United States should follow in its use of racially profiling, shortly before police arrested Ahmad Khan Rahami, an American of Afghan descent, in connection with a series of blasts in New York and New Jersey.

Speaking to the Fox News television program “Fox and Friends” on Monday, Trump began by praising the work of local police in the United States, but suggested that their hands are tied over concern regarding profiling.

“Our local police, they know who a lot of who this people are. They’re afraid to do anything about it because they don’t want to be accused of profiling, and they don’t want to be accused of all sorts of things. You know in Israel, they profile. They’ve done an unbelievable job, as good as you can do.”

Trump was speaking against the backdrop of events over the past several days that saw a bomb blast in Manhattan that injured over two dozen people, as well as bombing attempts in New Jersey and a stabbing spree by a man at a mall in Minnesota.

This isn’t the first time that Trump had praise for Israel for profiling. Following the June terrorist attack at the Pulse nightclub in Orlando, Florida, the Republican candidate expressed support for profiling and added: “You look at Israel and you look at others and they do it and they do it successfully.”

Trump has been taken to task by critics during the presidential campaign for calling for a ban on Muslim immigration to the United States and for a suspension of immigration from countries with "a proven history of terrorism."

An Afghanistan-born American, a suspect sought in connection with Saturday night’s bombing in New York City bombing that left dozens injured, is now in police custody after a shootout with police officers in New Jersey. Ahmad Khan Rahami, 28, of Elizabeth, New Jersey, was identified as the main suspect of at least three terrorist incidents late Sunday.

Speaking at a press conference on Monday, Hillary Clinton said the United States will confront the threat of terror with “resolve, not fear.”

“This threat is real, but so is our resolve. Americans will not cower. We will prevail,” Clinton said. She also claimed that her Republican opponent is “giving aid and comfort to our adversaries.”

Clinton Skips out on Charlotte and Will Meet Netanyahu Instead
Published 24 September 2016

U.S. Democratic presidential candidate Hillary Clinton has postponed a trip planned for Sunday to the city of Charlotte, site of intense anti police brutality protests, and will instead meet with Israeli Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu.

"Hillary is grateful for, and intends to honor, the invitation from faith leaders to visit with the Charlotte community," her campaign said in a statement on Friday.

"After further discussion with community leaders, we have decided to postpone Sunday's trip as to not impact the city's resources," it said, adding that Clinton will visit the city on the following Sunday.

Instead Clinton will meet with Netanyahu, who will also meet separately with Republican presidential candidate Donald Trump, sources with knowledge of the meeting told CNN.

Both Clinton and Trump are attempting to court Black voters ahead of the November election. Though polls indicate Clinton is the overwhelming favorite, she is unpopular in Black Lives Matter activist circles for her tepid response to their demands.

During the Democratic primaries Clinton famously brushed off a young Black woman who confronted her for her racist comments regarding Black people earlier in her career.

Clinton has also been accused of failing to take a clear stance in support of Black Lives Matter following a recent string of fatal police killings of Black men.

Her decision to meet with Netanyahu is likely to further exacerbate tensions between the Democratic party's candidate and anti police brutality activists.

A platform released by the Movement for Black Lives proclaimed their support for Palestine and declared Israel an “apartheid state” which “practices systematic discrimination and has maintained a military occupation of Palestine for decades.”

The lawyers in my family (2 Harvard law School) keep saying the law is black, gray and white. bad lawyers understand the whitepart of THE LAW. Good lawyers understand the gray part where "reasonable persons can reasonably disagree." Very good lawyers understand the black ie where THE law is not. Hillary Clint5on is purported to be a very good lawyer. One would assume that she hired other very good lawyers as consultants.

There is also the matter of ex post facto. When were the contents of emails determined to be classified? If they were not "classified when sent or received, but later (say upon FOI request) later deemed to be classified by some external agency (say CIA or NSA) Where is criminal intent?

Also why no outrage over Nixon's 59 (or whatever) minute gap in his tape recordings? Where is the outrage over Colin Powell and Condi Rice using personal servers and deleting thousands of emails? Do we even understand the LEGAL difference between Should (ought to) and Shall (must)? If I do not, but should there is no violation, however upsetting it is to your personal religious beliefs. If I Shall and don't I am legally culpable. Hewing to Bork's commonly understood interpretation, should is not criminal.

Trump has not (so) far been accused of anything criminal. Merely civil rights violations. AGAIN not something one goes to jail for.

Actually, Trump has been accused of criminal acts, acts that have an expired statute of limitations.

Ummm, thousands?

http://www.pbs.org/weta/washingtonweek/ ... use-emails

"In 2007, when Congress asked the Bush administration for emails surrounding the firing of eights U.S. attorneys, Attorney General Alberto Gonzales revealed that many of the emails requested could not be produced because they were sent on a non-government email server. The officials had used the private domain gwb43.com, a server run by the Republican National Committee. Two years later, it was revealed that potentially 22 million emails were deleted, which was considered by some to be a violation of the Presidential Records Act."

(Also, I'm pretty sure rape is a criminal act, and Trump's been accused of rape or attempted rape on at least 3 separate occasions I am aware of. And yet... GOP nominee for President ladies and gentlemen...)

Ok, I surender. You make my point better than I did. Outrage over Clinton's few actions over 20+ years with absolutely no equivalent rage over actions by members of the republican Party is hypocritical at best. Mysogynist at worst. Just another fine exampkle of the "Scorched Earth" policy of the republican Party. The Birther Movement, especially when not applied to the Republican Candidate born in Canada.

The email problem goes way back, and should have been fixed in GWB's era.

It became accepted practice because the government servers were so bad, or so the story goes.
