Thanks for the update, Jlira.
While it may depend on whether or not a copy is on order, it definitely goes way beyond the current snippets. I've been missing the snippets lately and this really feeds my need for a fix. |

That's been on the Fantastic Fiction website https://www.fantasticfiction.com/w/david-weber/at-the-sign-of-triumph.htm for some weeks. If you haven't come across that site before, I commend it to you. I find that one and the Baen Books sites to be the most informative around for SF books. And if you're looking for second-hand books, a very good place to start is http://www.bookfinder.com/ Good luck! . |

Odd, when I looked earlier it went to the scene with Hector approaching then jumped to the character list at the end of the book.

Well my fellow denizens, we are at an alliterative point in our wait for AtSoT!
It is either 7 Five-Days or 5 Seven-Days (aka TF Standard weeks) for the grand reveal and the presumptive 'heavy' drop on our doorsteps, 768 pages vs HFQ's 785 pages. However, I think our author said that the appendi (appendices?) were shortened in this one. FYI: If one has a truly INSANE desire for the 'heaviest' book going, look to 'Bottom's Dream', a mere(?) 1,496 printed pages and a weight of 13 lbs., it is 14 inches THICK! (5.9kg & 35.56cm) http://www.wsj.com/articles/the-seasons ... 1474642359 Still, as an anodyne to our on-going torture (aka Presidential Election), AtSoT does give us something to look forward to rather than the 50% dread! PS: In the Amazon "Look Inside" - something interesting must happen on pg.19, it is not included in the preview. Haven't checked (yet) to see if it is in the snippeting but somehow I think it is one of those little details ... Hmmm -----
What say you, my peers? |

I have found that here in the UK if you just simply go to the Amazon webpage then you get one version, if you logon with your Amazon id then you get a whole lot more.

If you log into your Amazon account, you will normally get more of the book than if you do not. Furthermore, on previous books, it seemed from the comments that people who buy lots of stuff from Amazon got more of the book than people who only buy a little. |
