SPOILERS, SPOILERS, SPOILERS
. . . . . . . . . . . . . I was examining the Dohlar Map (Sucked it into MS WORD and pasted it then blew up the soom view, only way I could think to get it) and I was noticing there appears to be quite a lot of detail around the area of Bryxtyn and Waymeet including what looks like a battle advance line stretching from these two southwestward surrounding the town of Shandyr. It would appear that despite the difficulties with mud and ruined roads that Earl Hanth was experiencing in the Snippets, his Army of Theismar is going to make significant progress south and into Dohlar. I see several woods and forests around those position picked out in detail. Possibly skirmish locations? IN fact I see small town of Artyestan (best I can make it out)and details that almost stretch to the port of Shan. I also see several small farms noted between the Duhnsmyr Forest and Moon Shadow Forest. (I'm being followed by a Moon Shadow, Moon Shadow... Really DW???) Yup I really think that Earl Hanth is going to cut a swath through Dohlar. I know we had talked about the significance of the Saram Bay and Gorath Bay maps being included. As well as the Temple Lands Map inclusion. But I don't remember us discussing this much. Of course several of us have argued that the major offensive thrust ought to come in the south with the Mighty Host apparently digging in so well to the North. Perhaps this indicates our thinking wasn't completely off-base. Larry |

Did you notice the differences where the maps for the Temple Land and the Northern Front overlap? On the Temple Land map, to the right of the label "Mighty Host, South", in the Reklair gap, there is what appears to be a red (defensive?) line with a green line just below it. Both have appropriately colored arrow heads attached to lines going off the map to the right, BUT these marks are not on the map of the Northern Front. There also are what I think are defense lines around and to the West of Glydahr (just above "Army of the Cent" label) and partially around Mhartynberg on the Holy Langhorne canal just above that.
There is also some detail of what almost appear to be fortified towers (or maybe just used the symbol for small towns?) along the Bedard Canal (N of Gulf of Tanshar). |

2 cents:
James Longstreet was a huge proponent of taking the offensive whenever possible. To him that meant moving his troops into a position where Union commanders had to ATTACK THEM on ground of his choosing. Seems as if a serious move on Dohlar might compel our friend the Grand Inquisitor to insist that the Host attack Eastshare, on ground of Eastshare's choosing. |

The name of the town is Artynsian. If it would help, I can zoom in on this possible area of operations and get a couple screen grabs to post here for the benefit of all. Not sure why, but I have no problems at all zooming in on this particular image and getting good resolution on the results... |

I took the jpeg's into powerpoint and merged several of them together. There is no question that troop movement can be seen on the maps. The when and how that has yet to be revealed. |

Nice to know folks are looking at the maps. I have one problem with your guesstimate. You're projecting Hanth pull a "Hey, diddle, diddle, right up the middle" into and through Rychter's stacked defensive positions on the Canal even though we know Rychter's getting better artillery and has way too many of the rapid-firing St Khylman's. IMHO that dotted lines may represent the extent of Rychter's defensive envelope. Any pro's out there with opinions pn what that type of dotted line represents? |
