BTW, he said [with an artless, modest little smile], guess who won the Dragon Award for best Military SF of 2015?
"Oh, bother!" said Pooh, as Piglet came back from the dead. |

I can't imagine any other winner. For the record, the other nominees in the category were: Blood in the Water, Taylor Anderson (Roc) Chains of Command, Marko Kloos (47North) Wrath of an Angry God, Gibson Michaels (Arc Flash) Allies and Enemies: Fallen, Amy J. Murphy (Self-published) The End of All Things, John Scalzi (Tor) The Price of Valor, Django Wexler (Roc) (Scalzi formally withdrew his work from nomination before the awards were presented - he had already decided to remove any 2015 work from awards nomination before the Dragon Awards were announced, and stated he'd be happy to be considered next time.) I had to hunt for the nominees list. I couldn't find them on the official Dragon Awards site. I found them on io9 (http://io9.gizmodo.com/dragoncon-releas ... 1785245629) _______ Dennis |

CONGRATULATIONS!!! I love how your series opens my mind to a much more complex understanding of logistics and our world. My father was a locomotive engineer for 35 of his 39 year career and yet I had no idea of how much goes into making the wheels turn. Thank you for your time and effort. Good writing and God bless!!

Gratz! Considering how many books you've written I'm glad you got picked. I hope the Dragon Awards last quite a while.
There were lots of interesting books to vote from. http://www.newsarama.com/30641-first-an ... inees.html I plan on reading the nominees at some point. |
