Inflatable? :) And covered with some nanotech compound which would make the outer surface crystal-hard? :)

Oh well, if shortening the front is what the Germans crave,
Let's shorten it to very end - the length of Fuhrer's grave.

An afterthought – if there is a Rakurai-style attack on an establishment in Zion (Nimue's BOOM), maybe the Temple Guard barracks might be the target? I would enjoy reading about Clyntahn's state of mind if he lost 90% of his private army following the attack on the torture prison of the Inquisitors.

Regarding the torture prison, I visited Tuol Sleng, the prison that the Khmer Rouge ran in Phnom Penh before their overthrow. It's highly educational, provided you have a strong stomach. After their "confessions" were extorted, most of the inmates were dispatched to one or other of the Killing Fields. Having seen these places and some of the remaining records of them, I find myself totally unable to express my feelings about the entities – I cannot bring myself to call them people – who directed and carried out the deeds done there. No punishment seemed adequate which did not involve soiling oneself by descending to their level.

Fiction is one thing. Having seen the remains of the real thing is something else again.

RFC specifically mentioned that are other attacks than physical.

What if Nimue & Merlin just dosed everyone with the hibernation drug and left the guards and priests behind while whisking the prisoners away.

Imagine finding everyone laying around not really dead but they can't be awakened either.

We don't know the details, but Nimue & Merlin did something that made Ryano & Clynthan drop turds in their pants and anyone that was at St. Thyrmyn are currently unavailable.

I don't think putting people to sleep is anything like a big enough pay off, no matter how you arrange the corpses afterwards. Or what childish pranks you play. And we know it has to be a massive pay off with a reaction like that.

I reckon its going to something like a cross between "Fort Zverev" and "The Door to Hell".

Explosions are one thing. Unquenchable brick-melting HELLFIRE is another completely .

Either that or... does liquid nitrogen exist on Safehold?
