There are actors and actresses out there whose skill greatly surpasses the creative material offered them. Yet, how many more actors and actresses have flubbed great parts, monumental roles in need of monumental artists.
Oh what an eye opened to come across a Hollywood personality that has raw acting ability. Take for instance my most favorite twenty first century distillation of raw talent. Dakota Fanning. Not since Steven Spielberg's made for television, the "Taken" series have I seen such talent. Dakota was a child prodigy. I had personally never seen that sort of "raw" acting ability - and in such a young child. There are adults that can't approach her acting skills. Throughout the entire series, Dakota captured my imagination. Frequently, throughout each episode, I found myself asking the exact same two questions "Who is this little girl? How old is she?" What other actors played their part as well as it could be played? Who did their part justice? Newt did in Aliens. Dakota Fanning in the Taken series was extraordinary! Astonishing even! Simply... astonishing! "Who is this little girl?" Sorry, force of habit. Rest assured, I follow her career. But there simply has been a dry spell on parts for her. Parts that would require her range and showcase her incomparable talent. Steven Spielberg, the director of the Taken Series said it best. "If it wasn't for this little girl, the Taken series would not have been possible." He said that he always writes a story then finds the best actor for the job. "This was the first time that I actually wrote a story forsomeone in particular. With someone in mind." He said he was essentially writing a part for Dakota in advance. The premise of the Taken series is an inside look behind the scenes of all of the "so called" alien abductions since the Roswell crash and an explanation of the what's and whys. Supposedly, this very advanced alien species was abducting humans for decades, in order to cross breed their DNA with ours, resulting in a successful creation (Dakota's character) that would be even more powerful than they. The part calls for a very advanced little girl. Dakota delivers. The character called for a very intelligent little girl. Dakota delivers. The part called for a matter of fact creature with a sense of innate knowledge and presence. Dakota delivers. She just delivers! "Who is this little girl?" Real life ants are easily overlooked. Can anyone else give examples of an actor/actress that can abnormally carry many times their weight in raw acting ability? Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense |

::a Naughty Moose gives::
Madhuri Dixit. Juhi Chawla. Priyanka Chopra. Anushka Sharma. And now there is Harshaali Malhotra, the six-year-old girl who picked Bajrangi Bhaijaan right out of the pockets of Salman Khan, Kareena Kapoor, and Nawazuddin Siddiqui. You didn't specify the actor had to be American! Naughty Moose who, on http://bollywhat.boards.net/thread/605 is Dancelover

No I didn't. Fair is fair. It isn't the ants fault if the larger species is too dumb to notice their raw talent because of natural origin. Besides, I may come across a foreign movie with those names in the credits which prompts me to sit up and take notice - expecting much. Thanks for alerting me to the foreign ants underfoot. Justin Timberlake. No one thinks of him as an Actor but he can hold his own in any role.
A lot of Actors ability depends on the production and writing. The crew on Castle, for the most part is great but the various CSI shows are terrible in comparison. Stana Katic and Nathan Fillion become their roles. ________________________________________

Excellent Child Actresses are very rare. I tried to date Terry Burnham during high school. She stopped film acting at about age 20 due to "Casting Couch" requirements. The stories she shared about Hollywood, both the good and bad.
A beautiful talented smart young lady. She would laugh and describe being 16 and playing a major role aged 12. My spys tell me she died in about the year 2000? I still mourn. We shared a few school classes long ago and far away. Quite a lady. |

There is no Wikipedia page for Terry Burnham.
Wikipedia does record her being mentioned on pages for 1959 movies and TV shows. HTM

Her last screen acting credit was as a character actor on a single episode of the 1971 TV series "Insight"; talented though she might have been, that sort of career (free as it was of any headlining role in a film or series notable after its initial production run) is fairly unremarkable and as such not going to be documented on sites like wikipedia (Of course, more specialised sites like imdb are there to pick up the slack). (Tell your spies to check imdb, by the way. They desperately need better information sources; Ms Burnham died just 3 years ago, not 16) |

We are not sure when Terry died. I have been in contact with former high school chums and such and we still do not know. Also there is the situation where we would rather not know for sure but just live with what good memories we have.
Please understand Terry was a very private person. There is also information that will not be shared. She did have have a role in the TV series "Family Affair" while in high school. Again, quite a smart talented lady. Understand also that this was long ago and far away. Not today. 50 years now. She did share the reality that Hollywood had literally hundreds of talented young and grown actors who for whatever reasons, never got that series of big breaks that resulted in known stardom. She did share the dark sides of how Hollywood worked. |
