I hope to have it to them in final form by the end of this week, but they don't have it yet. Baen can do wonders in the production end, so it's still possible if I get it to them before the end of August that they can make an October release date. If they pull it off, though, they're one of the very few houses in the business that can!

RFC. Please take your time and release it the way you want it... I can wait. I'd rather see it perfect than rushed.

Hold the phone, I just got this email from Baen:

"Hello,

I’m sorry for any confusion. Due to unforeseen publishing delays, we do not have an exact timetable for when Shadow of Victory or Angeleyes will be released as an eARC or as part of the Monthly Baen Bundle. We hope to get it online this afternoon, but it may be delayed until late this evening or even another day this week. We expect to receive the manuscript soon and will work to get the ebook online as soon as possible.

Thank you for your patience and support.

Regards,

Jenny Cunningham

Baen Books Web Team"

Which tells us almost nothing: The 1st half of the book will be up maybe today, maybe tomorrow, maybe later this week.

Keep checking people, if the 1st half of the book gets posted, please share the news on this thread.

Communicating is a good thing.

I don't know when the offices at Baen close for the day; but I can't imagine that they do that at 2:15 p.m. Eastern Daylight Time or so ... So there is still hope, that we get the 1st half (or even the e-ARC) today. Ok, for me, who lives in Germany, that means most probably tomorrow in the morning, but I can live with that. Easily.

Darn.

By now, I could probably do a new edition of the audiobooks...by rote.

Take your time, RFC. But just know, your faithful fans are going through serious withdrawal.

I for one am not looking towards the major withdrawal we will all have after the last book.

Uhgg this kinda crap annoys me. If its delayed, then communicate that its delayed, I won't be mad Baen, I fully understand it happens. But I have been checking every 30 minutes to an hour since around midnight because they have advertised 8/15/16 for awhile now. Only 4 hours left of said 8/15/16...

It is now: 8:50 CEST (Central European Summertime - Germany) and it still says, after clicking on the Question mark:
This title is not yet available for download. Prepublication release will begin in HTML format on 11/02/16 as part of the Monthly Baen Bundle.

Ok, so we wait
If this is the mother of our problems - there are none.

Guys...

Patience is a virtue. You all waited four years for this. What is another month or two?

I for myself will not download the book if there's only half of it available. I'll wait for the full thing, everything else would be self-mutilation. ;)
