Calm down, it's not the only one. Michael Z. Williamsons "Angeleyes" is still marked as forthcoming, too. And there is no info that both books will be delayed. So, give them some time ... maybe you simply were to impatient ;)

I just tried at 11 AM Central Time, and the Shadow of Victory is still not available. I would hope that if Baen intended to delay its release, they would have made some sort of announcement, rather than just leaving everyone twisting in the wind.

I don't think they're planning on delaying it. If they wind up having to, though, it's my fault. My schedule's been insane the last few months and I am way behind. I hope to have it to them in final form by the end of this week, but they don't have it yet. Baen can do wonders in the production end, so it's still possible if I get it to them before the end of August that they can make an October release date. If they pull it off, though, they're one of the very few houses in the business that can!

RFC. Please take your time and release it the way you want it... I can wait. I'd rather see it perfect than rushed.

Agreed.

But if Baen has to delay publication, then I hope they will please have an eArc available ASAP for purchase. For that matter, how long does it take Audible to produce an audiobook?

The last (or next to last?) time Brandon Sanderson rushed a book to print, he eventually decided to revise the ending post-publication. It was... inelegant. So while I recognize deadlines are important, I agree with the statement above.

Oh well, I guess it just gives me a reason to reread the series from start to finish, again.

Darn.

By now, I could probably do a new edition of the audiobooks...by rote.

Take your time, RFC. But just know, your faithful fans are going through serious withdrawal.

If the 1st half of the book is delayed, then it is delayed. However, Baen should tell their customers it is delayed so people don't waste time trying to download a book that is not available.

Communicating is a good thing.

Thank you for that timing info. Which tells us not to bother looking for it before then :-)
