Well, that´s a pretty safe accusation to throw around considering that the US elections are pretty much ALWAYS rigged.

It´s just that BOTH sides do it, so most elections it probably didn´t matter THAT much for the end result.

Exceptions being during GWBs time, due to the introduction of the Diebold machines and their later rebrands. And Floridan and Ohio shenanigans... Oh and then there was that funny thing happening in, what was it, Michigan? No, midwest somewhere IIRC... Ah well, several years past already, who would remember the cheating and rigging of past elections now eh?

And so on... Rep´s do it the most in latter years for sure, but at least historically it didn´t matter much.

Vote early, vote often!

There´s a reason why that phrase was invented in USA.

Peter, and you think that the Donald hasn't offeredfederal appointments to people?

Or that both sides didn't do it in the previous election?

It is somewhat a nature of the beast situation. Both major parties will try and have positions lined up as soon as possible.

In the modern era, there just isn't time to arrange things after the election but before jan 20.

Annachie,

Offering an appointment in exchange for donations and or a bribe is illegal. Governor Blogdoavich of Illinois is still in prison here in Colorado because he sold Obama's senate seat. If the Democrats are blatant enough to do that so brazenly in emails, they are totally not afraid of being even more corrupt once Hillary wins. They truly believe they can get away with much, much more than such trivial things as selling appointments.

No, I don't think Trump would do that. He couldn't trust the donor not to rat him out to Hillary. Trump simply does not have a tight enough grip on potential appointees. Hillary obviously does. She simply has an awful track record with emails.

OMG! So Trump gets his first top secret intelligence briefing and what does he do? Go on stage, announces it to the world and then proceeds to describe the video he was shown in excruciating detail. As I said, OMG!

Did that happen? Or do you merely expect it?

DDHv, does your post have anything to do with my post,
which you quoted and responded to?
I don't yet see how it relates.

Be that as it may, thank you for responding to me.

The GOP Pols. hate it but are stuck with it - for the present.

The GOP Congressfolk do have another string to their bow,
if Trump is elected. He would carry a Republican Senate and
House of Representatives with him, just about certainly,
but they would be GOP Regulars, *not* Trump-lovers.

If a newly-elected President Trump were sufficiently offensive,
Then the GOPfolk in the House would have the votes to Impeach
him, so that GOP Regular Mike Pence would become President,
IF the Senate votes to convict Trump.

BUT the (expected if Trump wins) GOP Senate majority would,
almost that certainly, be less than 2/3rds of the Senators.
To convict Trump, and replace him with Pence,
they would need some Democratic Senators' votes.
This leads to The Question Of The Winter:
Would Senate Democrats hate and despise Trump so much,
that they vote to replace him with Regular GOPer Pence?

If the GOP Regulars seriously wanted Trump removed by
impeachment, Then they should have nominated a VP candidate
more acceptable to the Democrats than Trump!

Be that as it may, they still might be as optimistic in the
Winter of 2017 as they were in Fall 1998, when they seemed to
have really believed that the 45 Dem Senators would give them
at least 12 votes to convict-&-remove Bill Clinton.
Remember that in those cases, five and ten GOPers *refused* to
convict, joining with *all* the Dems to give an aquiting tie
in one case, and a Not Guilty majority in the other!

But the Tea Party in the House might still be optimistic.
I wonder if they spike their tea. :)

The biblical "code name" for the nations before Zechariah 12:9>14:11, is Babylon, which translates to 'confusion' from the tower of Babel. OTOH, many voters make their choices from their personal experiences, rather than principle. Alternate reality storyline: Nixon visited Martin Luther King while he was in prison to show solidarity

Example:

No, neither Trump nor Clinton is from God. I think most rulers are very confused, and often confuse voters also

What actually happened:

http://nymag.com/daily/intelligencer/20 ... wrong.html

(Still shows Trump is an idiot, but he wasn't leaking classified info. He was just bullshitting to his audience in such a way that many people got that impression.)

Indeed, although it's not much of an improvement.

Trump is such a gift. It's literally impossible to make up bullshit when it comes to things he says that won't be trumped (hah) by actual stuff he says. Asked about women he would nominate for a cabinet position, he seriously said:
"Well there are so many different ones to choose, I can tell you everybody would say -- 'Put Ivanka in! Put Ivanka in!' You know that, right?" Trump said.
"She's very popular, she's done very well. And you know Ivanka very well. But there really are so many that are talented people, like you," he said to Savage, "You're so talented, I don't know if your viewers know that." The GOP nominee proceeded to joke about naming Savage to his cabinet.

So tell me more about how he's not going to fill his cabinet through nepotism and how he's less corrupt than HRC.

(Yes, I know trump very likely meant this as a lighthearted joke of some sort. However, the question is, should this be a topic he should be joking about at this stage in the campaign?)

Well it's either joke about it or actually attempt to answer it and reveal (even more clearly than he already has) that he doesn't have a clue what he's doing and this entire campaign is basically one long exercise in bullshitting the single most gullible segment of the electorate.
