AtSoT Snippet #1 prayer

That much is true, just read over some of RFC's other snippets like the one where Princess Irys is learning to shoot. We went nuts for weeks speculating on whether Duke Darcos was dead and what mortally wounded really meant.

Nonsense, the argument was about how the Past Perfect Progressive tense applied to an ongoing past action that resulted in death. Did the cessation of the past action imply the action ceased in death or the cessation of the threat of death carried by mortally wounded?

There have been some minor exceptions to this, but the snippets hsve normally started at the beginning of the book and given about 20-25% of the book. The exceptions hsve been teasers like the suspense over Hector's survival in LAMA.

If we get snippets, I suspect that will be how it goes this time too. It is interesting that the publication date is still 10/26/16.

I'm guessing that we will receive an honor snippet and a safehold snippet simultaneously.

Once RFC surfaces, he is going to want to watch our reactions. Therefore he knows he can't surface until he has both honor and safehold books wrapped up.

Well, we are told that the Honorverse book is signed, sealed and delivered to the publisher, that the date is firm, and that the Safehold book was still in the draft stages. That was two or three weeks ago. If he were to choose to snippet the two books at the same time, that would drasticly shorten the time for snippeting the Honorverse book. In fact, if the publishing date on the Safehold book were to hold firm --which I doubt-- we are already short on time for that too.

So go figure. I'm wondering if either book will be snippeted at all...

I would take that with a boulder of salt. It's the same as people who bombarded the Ghostbusters movie with negative ratings weeks before it actually came out - people are just voting things up or down because they can.

I suspect that the 10/26/16 publication date will NOT change until a, "cross your heart", real date is given to the vendors OR we pass the 10/26 date without any update. Please God, let it be the former as the latter would indicate real problems!
