Agreed. I'm thinking more of "current HonorVerse" characters than the historical ones. Though I wouldn't be surprised if they go back to naming some of the SD(p)s of the couple hundred years in the future after Honor.
I'd think the getting the PMV would automatically put your name on the list of future ship names.
However, I'd also expect that being alive is normally a disqualifier for getting a ship named after you. That is, ships get named for dead people, not the living. As such, most of the current characters aren't going to get ships named after them for a while (hopefully).
