according to the map in Honor Amoung Enemies, the system of silesia is dead center of the confederacy.

also according to that map, there are more populated systems on the west half, although I am not sure that that details all the systems in the confederacy.

With 31 systems, that would mean 15 for one, 16 for the other. Presuming they split the confederacy by populated systems, then logically the andermanti would have gotten the actual system of slilesea.

Logic: an organized way to go wrong with confidence.

I'm sure I read somewhere that Silesia was one of the systems ceded to Manticore, although I could be wrong.

If you look at the map in HoS the three dots close together in the upper part of the map is the Chalice Cluster. Also Silesia has about fifty star systems. My guess is the SEM and AE split up the ConFed by sectors then evenly split the Capital Sector.

Silesia was split between the Manties and the Andies.

Manticore took 34 worlds plus Marsh, the Andies took the rest.

It's probably less than that. Non-Silesian protectorate worlds include Medusa and Masada. Also Marsh is a independent system with treaty relationship with the SEM for the use of the system as a forward operating base. The Marsh system probably serves as a forward supply, repair, refit and liberty port.

Pay attention to what the OP said, Skimpy. He asked about the *system* of Silesia (as in, a single star and its associated planets), not the entire Confederacy (consisting of many stars and *their* associated planets).

The Marsh system was never part of the Silesian Confederacy and remains an independent system, (albeit with treaties with the SKM/SEM)
