I just pre-ordered At the Sound of Triumph on Amazon and saw the notice that "This title will be released on October 25, 2016."
When I first looked this up I spotted the offer to get the kindle copy for a few $$ but did not see that offer today.

At the same time I ordered Shadow of Victory (Honor Harrington) and saw "This title will be released on November 1, 2016."

I still don't believe that oct 2016 date for AtSoT.

yes definitive word is old (several months) but at that time RFC was still fine-tuning SoV, with it implied that no real work had yet been started on AtSoT.

RFC is good but not even he can manage to write something the size of the average safehold novel, get it edited and in the production queue in the space of 6 months.

I will be delighted if RFC does pull it off but until it happens I'm going to continue to expect the next safehold not much before Oct 2017.

Dauntless... don't shoot me I'm only the messenger :o

We can only live in hope... my order is paid for but A LOT can happen between now and then, most of it is out of our control.

Barnes & Noble is also showing a release date of October 25, 2016 also. So hopefully that date is pretty accurate.

There is a long discussion of these dates in the "At the Sound of Triumph" thread

As I posted there May 6th
Much as I would like to believe it is true, even I have to think there is something just a tad unlikely about David's two publishers issuing major hardbacks by him a week apart; Amazon has AST being released on 25th Oct and Shadow of Victory on 1st Nov!

People reckoned that we would see SoV but not AtSoT in that timescale.

OTOH I've just seen that SHV posted this link

http://us.macmillan.com/books/9780765325587

to the Macmillan webpage on the Snippet Prayer thread yesterday and it shows cover art for AtSoT. Who'd a thunk?!

That's OK you missed me by hours ;)
BTW when I re-read this I remembered that Hope is a village in RI
The poster at this link is a real insider joke for RI using street names to good advantage...
My son has a first edition b/w... you may find it interesting.

This is good news... the Amazon page had no photo of the cover.
