Have you ever tried to find anything on the TOR website? Its not for the faint of heart. I am certain they are using this website to hide the Ark of the Covenant.

You sure hit the X ring with your comment. Good thing I wasn't drinking anything when I read it because I would have snorted liquid right out my nose.

I've been looking for the HFQ maps on the Macmillan Web site, which is where www.tor-forge.com now redirects you, to no avail. Do those maps actually exist on line? The characters keep talking about how the Charisians are now threatening the Gulf of Dohlar by operating west of Claw Island, when it was my impression that the Gulf was to the east of the island. Same with some army movements in Siddarmark, action to the west being mentioned when I thought it should be east. And of course none of the published maps contains all of the sites mentioned in the conversation, if any, so I can't get my bearings. The map in the Downloads section of this site contains no city names in Siddarmark at all, nor the names of any of the nautical features I want to locate, either. Aaaaaaaargh!

PaulL,

Without reading the exact passage I cannot know exactly what is causing your confusions... It seems obvious that the large ships cannot function beyond the Gulf without passing the base at Claw Island and the only other way out of the gulf by water is on the canal system which is too small for these ships.
Claw Island is like a cork in the bottle and it is at the western end of the gulf

I get a lot of information from the "campaign action" map.

This is the map I was complaining about. If Claw Island is marked on it, I'll eat that map, every blessed electron of it. A couple of tedious close re-readings of the passage that was confusing me eventually revealed how I had been misreading it. A decent map would have revealed the source of my confusion in seconds.

Likewise, this same map contains no place names within the Republic of Siddarmark, so using it to try to work out deployments and troop movements is not doing me any good. As annoying as it is to have no clear pictures of what's going on, there's no point in investing any more effort if the necessary resources are going to continue to be lacking.
