Sauce?

Old AA missile. Lots of rocket fuel and high explosives. Would get your pulse rate up a bit....

The U.S. is under attack!

Son, your mother says I have to hang you. Personally I don't think this is a capital offense. But if I don't hang you, she's gonna hang me and frankly, I'm not the one in trouble. —cthia's father. Incident in ? Axiom of Common Sense

I would think on a ship some saying there is a fire aboard is not something you want to hear.

Especially if the fire is in weapons storage!

All stop! All engines STOP!!

While the ship is tied to the pier.

I was there when that happened. Back in the early 1980's the USS Durham was preparing to get under way when somebody made a big mistake. Ship was still tied to the pier with 8 5-inch nylon ropes, breaking strength about 60,000 pounds each. 15,000 ton ship didn't care; they snapped like 200-pound rubber bands. The ship then rammed into the quaywall at a couple of knots, denting the bow and pushing the pavement up about 3 feet in the center of a 20x30 foot area.

Glad I was on a different ship and avoided the shitstorm.

Having never BEEN in the navy and living mid-continent, I can't speak to the real thing (other than gratitude to the USN for Operation Tomodachi as I lived in that area (Northern Japan/Ishinomaki) many years ago and y'all were the first folks to help in 2011), but here are my humble offerings one from the land of reality, and one fictional...from the Honorverse.

"They're not real carriers" relative to the British short "Harrier Carriers" in the Falklands War, and...

"Don't worry, this ship has a fine doctor".

All my posts are YMMV, IMHO, and welcoming polite discussion, extension, and rebuttal. This is the HonorVerse, after all

Hope it never happens, but I can't think of much, more dangerous...

Mr. President, we have visuals on a bonafide UFO, its the size of our moon and its decelerating for a zero/zero intercept with Earth.
